Hav­ing both Garmin Venu 2 Plus and Apple Watch. I would say the Garmin is by far the bet­ter device. Hav­ing to check the bat­tery before the night ends is a night­mare com­pared to to Garmins bat­tery and dont get me start­ed on the gps and work­out trackers..

Great video ! I seri­ous­ly hate the fact that the apple watch bat­tery life is so pathet­ic in this day and age , many smart watch com­pa­nies offer much bet­ter bat­tery life why can’t apple do the same !!.– My Garmin watch bat­tery last 2 weeks. Thank you ! ✌

As a con­struc­tion work­er who does under­ground pipeline I can con­firm that this things dura­bil­i­ty is a mon­ster. Might as well be dust proof con­sid­er­ing the unre­al amount of dust it’s tak­en on in the weeks I’ve had it. With just a case on it and the apple sports prod­uct red band, it’s the best thing ever. I’ve found the best time to charge it is right after din­ner, or an hour before bed. Put it on when you go to sleep, and wake up eas­i­ly with the hap­tic feed­back alarm. I was skep­ti­cal if vibra­tions could wake me up that eas­i­ly, but I wake up even bet­ter with the watch then I do with my phone, the vibra­tions almost feel like a jolt rush­ing through me when I wake up. The bat­tery life is about the same as the series 6 but I’d say it’s a lit­tle bet­ter when used in mod­er­a­tion. Heavy use will prob­a­bly last you about 10 hours where as light use you can real­ly stretch this bad boy almost 24 hours or more. I’m lov­ing my Apple Watch and it’s not a phone on your wrist in my opin­ion since there’s so much it still can’t do. but rather your phones best friend. It can do a ton, but in real­i­ty it’s still most­ly just the best fit­ness watch out there.

TLDR: a great durable device that stays true to its name, great bat­tery life with only an hour to ful­ly charge up vs the series 6 two hours. A nifty tool paired with your iPhone to make your days seem more sim­ple yet enjoyable.

I have not had any prob­lem with bat­tery life on my AW7, and the only thing dif­fer­ent is mine is the 45mm. I don’t know if it has a big­ger bat­tery, but that would make me glad I ppaid more for the larg­er chunk on my skin­ny wrist.
I got mine from wal­mart on prime day sale for $309. I don’t know what AW8 will be, but unless it is dras­ti­cal­ly thin­ner, I will wear the 7 until it croaks ‑and that should be a long time because my AW1 is still working!
