I watched this show once a week in my mid­dle school his­to­ry class like 7–8 years ago, and I’m so glad I found it again! The entire class would bang our fists on the desks along to that intro song. We always looked for­ward to our “men who built Amer­i­ca” Fri­days. Glad I’m back to watch it again.

A well pro­duced sto­ry of the tra­jec­to­ry of US’s more notable Rob­ber Barons. It even­tu­al­ly becomes clear that while Cap­i­tal­ism brought forth progress and immense wealth to ear­ly entre­pre­neurs, it did lit­tle for cit­i­zens at the bot­tom rung of the lad­der. The gap between the wealthy and the lower/middle class is widen­ing which is not a good thing.
Demo­c­ra­t­ic ideals are need­ed now more than ever to main­tain Civil­i­ty, equal­i­ty and rights & to pro­tect free­dom for ALL.
Free­dom is at stake if the maqa thirst for author­i­tar­i­an­ism over­takes the major­i­ty Dems valid insis­tence on human rights, free­dom and equal­i­ty.
That said, *DJT is a blight on an oth­er­wise inter­est­ing sto­ry. HISTORY chan­nel made an error in hav­ing *that on the series.

But keep him in the series. In years to come, it will be looked back on, and all
DT’s cor­rup­tion and lies will be reminders of the impor­tance of integri­ty, intel­li­gence, wis­dom, truth and civil­i­ty in leadership.

All the dra­ma aside, these men built Amer­i­ca in name only. In their fac­to­ries chil­dren as young as ten slaved for five cents an hour as four­teen hours a day. These chil­dren and their par­ents are the great unsung. They are all gone and for­got­ten. But go ahead and enjoy your video.
