Nah bro this ain’t budget at all lmao, we talking $200 my guy
Well said, good general terms, good info simple and to the point. Easy to get the drift, key point, go for ram rather than storage, highlight the workability storage is just a bigger box to put more stuff in. Very informative simple great advice, well done.
$500 only to afford a chromebook or it’s gonna be bare bones😭😭😭
Stupid video, not budget at all
imo, 700 is like a mid range laptop. when we’re talking about budget laptop, i think 500 is max
Best budget laptops start around $1000

If I was broke and needed a mobile computing device, I would just get an entry level iPad with a Logitech keyboard.
Not sure what a $500 laptop can do for a casual person an iPad can’t. And whatever you would want to do at that level is better optimised for iOS.
People spending that money aren’t exactly enthusiasts, just need something that works.
You gotta be a bargain hunter. Patience is the key. A laptop that normally goes for $1100 will be discounted under $900 at some point. A discounted $800 laptop can be had for $600 or less down the road. Like he said, watch out for the specs. Gotta educate yourself and ask questions.
Good information 👍
A very basic laptop is around $800 there are some good deals out there usually bestbuy
I do agree that there’s too many 3rd part sellers on amazon and Walmarts website.
I still have ASUS Budget Laptop at Home. Bought it from 2018 Brand New and now it runs Latest Windows 10 November 2021 version
So many things that my Laptop can do, such as Browsing, Consuming Media, and even Creating (just basic, not advanced)
My mom bought a Galaxy Book Go on HSN for $249.99 with Microsoft Office. The computer was surprisingly nice, I bought my dad the non Microsoft version for $189.99.
I mean most people spend a hundred dollars over $1000 on a smartphone and use said smartphone for about 4 years (on average; give or take). So I would say it would make more sense to do the same for a laptop since that is something you’d probably use a laptop longer than that.
If u need to use the Microsoft office suite, I think a low powered Windows laptop like an i3, still makes a case against Chrome books. The chrome books are ok for simple office tasks, but the experience is frustrating if u want to do some serious office tasks.
There is no laptop that you can opem the back not even to change the batery anymore, they all glued. If you find one will cost a fortune
I just got a Samsung Galaxy Book Go for $200 CANADIAN (regularly $300 CAD) (what is this $500/$700 USD for a “budget” laptop) and there are downsides to it having an ARM processor (I hope anybody buying it knows what they’re getting into and that there isn’t a Windows for ARM version of Chrome and the x86 version will take a performance hit), but it’s full windows (not a chromebook) and web browsing with Edge is smooth af. Tons of retro games and emulators run smoothly on it. VLC runs fine. I could have bought three of em for what you’re talking about.
topic catch: brand new from market. not a good old future-upgradeable thinkpad.
Now a days for a decent Windows Laptop you need a iCore 7 and able to pay a little over $1000.
For my personal PC I mostly watch YouTube, play card or board games, web browsing, and use Office 360. I use a Microsoft Surface Go tablet with an i3 and it’s great. I would not necessarily draw the line at i5 and above for a Windows laptop.
1:52 which chromebook is that?
Excellent advice in this video.
on point, short and crisp
Tell me.this, we use the same OS and run the same apps (mostly) why is it then that more powerful (newer generation) hardware does not run the software better.
Are sotware developers Ann useless code to make you buy even more expensive hardware..
This is bull the bottom line is that businesses just want higher margins.
I did get a 1080p screened laptop but found out it’s actually a TN panel lol. It’s prob the worst screen ever. They wouldn’t take it back and i had a hard time reselling it. Now I’m stuck with it. The screen is the only gripe, otherwise everything works fine.
I have the same desktop at home that I built 12 years ago (upgraded RAM and hard drive over time), so I only need a very simple budget laptop.
Asus 515 with a Ryzen 5 5500u (6 core 12 thread) for $550 Canadian
Great presentation!
