Do you think SkyDrive will hit its goal of certification by 2025?
Anything with rotors outside is a helicopter and anything with wings is an airplane. These inventors are confused. Had you seen the fifth element movie that Bruce Willis drive? Thats a flying car.
Probably in 100 years you’ll be able to.
certification will be tricky… Let’s compare it to a car just for a second…SkyDrive has eight swords spinning around extremely dangerous… Car has none… SkyDrive is very noisy… a car is quiet…SkyDrive cannot get anywhere near people simply too dangerous… A car can park in any parking lot. SkyDrive it’s impractical short range limited landing takeoff zone noise… That said it is really cool I would like to fly one but I don’t want to disturb anyone it has to be almost in the middle of nowhere…this world has enough noise pollution.
Ehang is 6 years ahead of this in terms of delivering public flights, public experience, cost effectiveness, but yeah ultimately there will be Ferraris that take over the game, in terms of expensive specs yet delicious user experience. In terms of cost effectiveness for the public to enjoy a flight over the city, the Ehang will probably be number 1 for a long time.
Until others start delivering what Ehang is doing, it’s the, I could do that, but you haven’t meme for you — tongue in cheek. I wish the Ehang was available in the West.
Mk2 oppressor
10 km distance? that’s nothing. may as well walk.
At that price point… they wont be getting much in the general market place. That is way priced to high… by 2/3’s cost. Its pretty, but not worth the price.
anything is possible, God’s speed fam!
The future is now!
I think it would need an ejection seat for me to get anywhere near it…
10-minute flight time. That sounds safe… EVTOL is a bad idea. 10-minutes in the air for 1+-hour charge time. Needs to be Internal Combustion! I still like the Moller Skycar…
No agency will ever certify guard-less exposed fan blades at the stomach level.
whats the stock for this company called?
If anybody ever played saints row this was already in the game years ago !!!
A small drone flying overhead makes enough noise, can only imagine how loud this thing will be
Reinventing the helicopter by building giant drones.
Not expecting to sell to individuals due to the huge price but expecting to be a taxi service that carries maybe two passengers for maybe five miles before battery reserves get dicey is stupid. Besisde, the Jetson One is already on sale for a year or so, costs $92,000, and flies much faster and further. Lilium will prevail, an eVTOL that will carry 6–7 passengers from city-to–city multiple times per day so it can actually pay for itself.
It’s a big drone . Not a flying car
No.
Jetsons… Meet the Jetsons…
Every one of the EVTOL attempts has grand video simulations and investments from the auto and aircraft industry and have all failed for basically the same reasons, inadequate energy density in their power systems and lack of backup safety systems for passenger flights. I worked for one of the early EVTOL companies and there is a whole lot of outright investor fraud going on. BTW the company I worked for went splat last year over in Palo Alto after at least 10 years of business.
Right now, it make for a great VR/AR experience~!
Should be called the “Jetson” 😂
Semi jetsons
This or ehang
A helicopter is cheaper than this flying car and has atleast 4 seats.
Do they have a breakdown cover 😂
