Are they not allowed to have a rifle?
Did she just say an OLD 1980’s bow lol
Haven’t any of these people been introduced to matches they work great!
Question: why brass wire?
Really wish I could watch this season not only because it’s an amazing program but also because I’m really interested to see how those who took salt got on and how they used it etc
Every season I fall in love with the group of people. Sheer strength and inspiring motivation. Rooting for them inside the comforts of my home. I love this show, I just need more episodes!
They should film multiple groups at the same time. By far the best show on history channel. Can’t wait for season 10.
This season 9 just didn’t hit like previous seasons did. Something very different this season.
woniyas sweater, made of rope, is a great idea. It lets you not waste a pick on tbe paracord. That makes it possible to take the slingbow, wth the 3 piece takedown arrows. The modified Crunch multittool can convert the 6 judohead blunts into 8 , barbed treblehooks, set as trotlines. while you make it look like you’re casting field tied dies, single, barbless hooks.. You might even catch a few that way using cordage from the sweater. Lets you take the slingbow, shovel, the crunch, the salt, the rations of pemmican and trailmix. the snarewire. the 12x12 tarp, the big toll of gorllla tape, the 2GoSystems XL bivy,
there’s 4 other (easier) ways to make fire than bow drill, If you dont know how to use them, you dont belong on this show. They are by means of fire-rolling a strip of your shemagh, using rust from the shovel as an accellerant. The big pumpdrill takes half a day to create, but it can always give you friction fire, no matter how wet conditions are, if you know how to us “drying-cycles”, as taught by David West, of youtube. Once you have your first fire, it’s quite easy to bury your coals, some charcoal and dry wood in your ashes, poke a hole down to the embers with a stick, and the fire will remain “alive” for 12+ hours. Fire thong is not diffiicult if conditions are not crappy.
the producers just keep piling on the restrictions. First, it was you cant have the bear vault. then you could not take splined fishing arrrowheads. Then you couldn’t have TAKE than 75 sq fi of netting or any mesh size but 1.5″. then it was 50 sq ft. Originally, it was 160 sq ft and 2″ mesh. Then it was you can’t have more than 4 lbs of rations, there was no limit at all on how much netting you could TAKE, or how you used it, nor what size mesh it had to be. Now it has to be 5″ mesh, no more of it than you can use as a dipnet. First it was you can’t have barbed hooks. Now it’s also no treblehooks. First it was no live bait„ now it’s no lure except a fly, tied on-site. 13 changes from the original season. ALL intended to limit how much flesh food (mostly fish) that you can take which of course limits how long you can stay, which just coincidentally of course, cuts the producer’s costs by hundreds of thousands of $.
And the 10 items I choose are .…all the camping gear and supplies i would ever need.
The first guy basically just cheated by including his ferro rod in the multitool 🤣, everyone else had to waste a spot and he got to have emergency rations.
we dont need 10 episodes, we need about 30 so we can see more stuff in details
After watching 2 episodes of season 1, I found this by accident and went “wait a minute, each of his items is actually around 6 of them, what the heck?” But I bet there was a rule change, as being given only 10 individual items is a crud deal. Soon as one snaps, an entire method of survival just vanishes into thin air
I want to test myself
I’m amazed by how many people bring down bags. It’s not like they’re through hiking where the weight and volume savings would be important. Getting your down bag wet could end your stay.
Ferro rod doesn’t necessarily need it.
My 10 items
Ax
Cooking pot
Fishing kit
First aid kit
Multi tool
Recurve bow and 9 arrows
Paracord
Tarp
Saw
Sleeping bag
That tree looked like a big stiffy
Interesting. I was wondering if they were allowed to bring salt or other spices lol
Does anyone know why they all choose recurve bows instead of a compound? There must be a good reason
Alone Show and Tell lol
So… everybody brings the exact same stuff.
After all the seasons, why has no one emphasized that you never trap/hunt close to your camp in the beginning. While you have more energy and hasn’t snowed yet , you can walk further an animals don’t think of the the 1/4 mile radius around as a kill zone. When it’s very cold (especially when the location has snow and you have less energy it’s good to have a trapping/hunting close to home.
Does the black tarp that all? of them use for shelter not count to the 10 items? None of them is showing that tarp …
Gentleman, that is NOT Survival. You’re just camping at best. If you want to impress anyone, then go out there with the clothes on your back and nothing else. That is… No Ferro rod, sleeping bag, bows and arrows (build one while you’re out there), or anything else that someone who is genuinely trying to survive would not have..!
Is anyone successful with the bows this season?
Can I bring 50lbs of meat or a live goat as my survival item?
The only scenario I could possibly fit this in, would be like trapped behind enemy lines with no way to go anywhere and have to live off a specific piece of land. Or I guess maybe if I got lost or stranded and decided it was best to stay close to my last known position for rescue. Other than that, I would be looking to hike my way to civilization. That is why these shows seem a little unrealistic to me.
Noone thought a gun would be a good idea??
She said” Dutier”
No tarps.…madness…the first thing on my list would be a tarp…second machete.…third Ferro stick.…fourth sleeping bag.…fifth cooking pot.…
One of the ladies didn’t bring an axe. The second lady didn’t bring a saw.
Everyone had a silky saw except Juan Pablo, who actually chose the best type of saw for the challenge.
Way too many 2 quart dutch ovens. 3 quarts would be better, and I’d go with stainless because hauling a heavy dutch oven becomes burdensome after your 200th trip to water.
Try 5 items
Why not bring a Bic lighter instead of a ferro rod? Lighters have both flint and fire!
Smallest pot ever. Bring a bigger one!
Why not bring a tent?
Fishing line should be one spool of line! Not 10 different ones! Smh
With so many people choosing to take bow/arrows, I’d like to know how many of these folk actually managed to make kills, what kind of animals, and what would happen if one ran out of arrows? How long would it take a regular person to become proficient enough to be able to rely on the bow to produce enough food to survive, compared to fishing?
Wow they’re all bringing multitools instead of knives 😂😂
No one is really named Teimojin
Why didn’t you put orange duct tape on that multi tool haven’t we learned anything from other people losing their most precious tools due to memory loss and camouflage
What do you gotta do to sign up to do this ?
The one and most important item you forgot to mention for surviving the cold Canadian winter is….an airline ticket to Florida. What’s wrong with you people?
No one picks a tarp so all I ask is how much tarp can you bring?
One essential item that no one brought… a rifle! 😂
Holy s*** after some of the dumbest f**** people ever met!!! So called self called survival exports and can’t even make a make shift shelter?!? These people act like they have spent a day in the woods in their life!!!!
Wise items. It’s always to each their own in such situations but this guy is sorted.
You wasn’t saying saying trout mecca in da streetz
I find it hard too believe everyone number 8 was a multi tool fake news
