No USB C is a safety hazard at this point. As a Security Officer, there has been countless times iPhone users are out of luck with no way to charge and they are missing from friends and family. I haven’t meet an iPhone user to bring an extra lighting cord when clubiing. I have even helped customers with android to reverse charge to make an emergency call.

And the best part is that if Apple wants to get money they can push to create a type‑c 2.0 which would be way faster charging and they could sell that to keep money flowing to them
Not sure why i even bother reading, the best decision is to boycott apple. Too many people are fanatic of their overpriced products. I have tried all their products from the Mac days and I was never impressed once.

I just moved to the iPhone 13 Pro from an 11. I have over 150 cables and charging brinks in every size, shape, color, braid and braid color combination. This way I am good until 2028. I’m coming to get you iPhone 20! Your mine in 2028!

At last. This is about 5 years too late though, Amazon already have my money for all the lightening cables I’ve had to buy for my kids iphones. USB‑C I’ve never ordered a single one. They last longer and come with most devices now anyway.
Tell them to stop with the whole forcing iphone users to receive the outdated form of text from Android users by automatically downgrading the incoming messages. It’s petty.

This is specifically one of the reasons why I dont use an iphone and delayed looking at ipads. Apple is good at what it’s good at and then they’re jerks in other areas. Competition is good for consumers.

I’m not expert, but USB‑C cannot support high wattage to gaming laptops. I also got warning with my Lenovo work machine, that the USB‑C attached cannot supply enough power. So they have to sort this problem out also in the near future. So it’s not that simple, that “USB‑C”. Chargers have strength limit. And USB‑C standard is still being worked on at the moment. Just saying…
And for many-many years, I had no electician knowledge. So I always used the charger provided for the device by the manufaturer. Now I had to spend lot of time on the Internet, inverstigating about electrical knowledge, which charger don’t harm my device. It was quite nerving… Will it harm my device? Will it cause some harm to it’s lifespan?
(After having problems with different HDMI version cables, I’m not sure if all the USB‑C cables have information written on them, what wattage they can safely let through without burning/causing damage. I know, at least the chargers have wattage data info on them usually.)
USB‑C port started messing up on iPad 4 after charging less than 30 times. Port will need to be changed of use wireless charging fairly quickly.

Apple will soon get rid of the charging port. It will be MagSafe and that will be the new standard after this.
