The only possibility of big black cat or black jaguar it got lose from someone had a pet..but after that it doesn’t exist
East TN here. Getting here a day late. Have a small woods that is all part of a woods that are part of the woods behind are rual neighborhood .
It had been raining all day, and the dog wanted out and i needed to do one last sweep for eggs in the coup.
Let the birds out, and me and our dog went looking for morels before it got dark. Did a half hour sweep. And no luck on morels . While feeding and watering the birds, a tree fell with a loud bash, it shook the ground. It gave me chills. And alerted my sixth. I have one big dead tree leaning on a maple that is ready to fall. It was still standing. Couldnt find what had fallen.
That Black cat was actually further back from that tree than that Man was, So I think the cat is actually bigger than what they are saying.. If that man would have stepped it 10 feet deeper into the woods you would see that, That cat is probably more like 3 feet from head to Rear end, Not to Tail but head to back legs.. I live in NJ and about 20 years ago, I was in the woods alone and thought I came upon a Deer, But it didn’t move like one, It crouched down just like a cat, then Took off real fast N as it darted off I caught the back of this Cat looking animal, And that’s when I saw The tail and how long and thick it was.. ((But My brain had trouble registering that is was a mountain lion looking cat at about the size of a deer??)) I didn’t want to believe my own eyes!! And I don’t go into that trail anymore.. And trust me in South Jersey we killed off all the Dangerous Predator’s.. We still have Black Beers up in North Jersey but that’s it. We really don’t have wild life to fear in south Jersey. Not even snakes. the most dangerous animals we fear in South Jersey are stupid PPL Text/driving Cars.. But still, I can’t deny what my eyes saw.. It was a big cat…
the mountain lion could be melanistic however it’s very very rare
If you really pay attention that picture at 5:06 is a regular domesticated cat.
I have trail cam of mountain lions in pendleton county wv. They are most definitely there.
It is a dog 🐕 man that has been killing the Lomas good luck trying to catch it
All these people must be dog people, because they’ve never seen a house cat before.
There are what we call panthers we are located 4 hours east of Oklahoma City and yes they are among us me and my wife have seen them several times
No big cats in Pennsylvania, lol. Tell that to the woman who hit one with car near Altoona
So let me get this straight.….the “palestine TX carcass” was hanging off a fence for days…several people saw it thinking it could be a “mountain lion or jaguar”??? but NO ONE took a picture? yeah…right…uh huh…ok. WTF???
So basically.… they saw NOTHING!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😂😂😂😂
“If there are no black cats around here, then why are they protected?” GOOD QUESTION!
I tend to agree, but if the griz can grab and control the moose’s antlers from the side without getting gored….
He can sap energy from the moose to eventually bring the moose to its knees, and then it’s over.
Has anyone ever heard of the Florida Panther??? It’s a big black cat people
Looks like a house cat to me.
I’ve seen with my own eyes black Panthers in the wild and in the zoo. They will attack large/tall prey by jumping down on top of them from trees or rocks higher than prey.
I did see what I thought (could have swore and my boyfriend driving thought was as well) was a black cat crossing the hwy while we were driving north on 61 coming from Wabasha in MN about 19–20 years ago. I am not sure where on the hwy we were it was near or by where I could see the river and there were cliffs. We were driving down hillish North bound with a pretty good view we both could have swore that a black cat crossed the freeway from riverside east going west bound but it was pretty far away but we both had the same description saying did you see that black cat I though it was a black panther it had a long tail for sure. I thought a zoo animal got away lol maybe it did
Bring back MQ!!! 👹
Why people are only considering these black cats to be pumas, leopards or jaguars? How about jaguarundis?
Years back I went to visit family in the north western arkansas and my aunt lived in the ozarks on the side of this mountain. I was with my aunts dog out in the woods and saw a huge black cat stalking me. It was best described as a big black panther and Ill never forget that big long tail. Terrifying! Years later I was convinced it as someones escaped exotic big cat because I saw no reference anywhere to panther cats in arkansas.
Nobody is gonna die he just is tired of his livestock being eaten. He should try to trank it or trap NOT KILL IT they are endangered. !!
FoIks, you are free to beIieve whatever you like, but here are the facts. There are reguIar tawny colored mt lions in the rockies, black hills in SD, as well as California, and the greater Yellowstone area, Montana and the northwest. And a smaller subspecies in Fla. There are confirmed sightings of mt lions in other states too.
But the truth is, there are NO “black” aka meIanistic Mt Lions (aka pumas, panthers, cougars) anywhere.
Just like there aren’t any bIack or meIanistic Asian or African lions.
The onIy “bIack panthers” that exist anywhere are bIack (meIanistic) jaguars and black Ieopards, (and some smaller species of wild cats).
Black leopards and black jaguars do not live in the wild in the US.
There have been occasional sightings in southwest AZ in the Santa Rita mts, of a male normally colored/patterned jaguar who roams in and out of the area from Mexico.
There are no breeding populations of jaguars in the US and even El Jefe, the most recent jaguar sighted in the US, hasn’t been seen in years. You can Iook it up.
Most so caIIed bIack panther sightings in the US are either dark colored bobcats, smaller wildcats or black feral & domestic cats.
The game commission & DNR debunks black panther sightings all the time.
Everyone is entitled to their own beIiefs, but not their own facts. Melanistic/black north/south American Mt lions do not exist, there is no proof of any that have been discovered.
Do your own research before leaving me comments saying I’m wrong. Or post a picture or a link to a picture or video proof if you have any.
I will be happy to discuss or answer any serious, honest, respectful questions.
I spent years discussing this with actual wildlife scholars and experts, published authors and so on.
I’ve done my homework because I’d actually support the reintroduction of mt lions into areas they used to live, but have been eliminated from. I love the big cats and aII wiId animaIs and think they aII deserve protection & preservation.
They were here Iong before humans moved in and destroyed many of them. I think we can coexist as our ancestors did for a long time. ❤
Have a good day.
Humans are dangerous since we don’t realize the damages we cause, we’re delusional, stupid, zealous, feeble minded creatures. All the wars, crime, female raping’s, are proof to bring the point home.
😂 we literally have one sneaking around Michigan as we speak looK up the PHOTOS😮..
Lol first of all, mountain lions are NOT the largest cat in North America. That would be a jaguar. Which CAN be black. Any expert that says they know something for a fact is no expert. People that live with them and not in a classroom know what they’ve seen. Embarrassing.
I grew up in Choctaw Oklahoma and my grandparents live in the next town over and there’s an exotic cat rescue around the corner from her house so I wouldn’t be surprised if one escaped imagine the reputation and other consequences they would face if the public found out they were missing one
