Kiara Advani is one of the most promising actresses in the film industry. She has several hits like Kabir Singh, Good Newwz, Shershaah, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 among other. The Bollywood diva’s recent film JugJugg Jeeyo has also received critical acclaim. Meanwhile, the actress opened up about the nuances of cinema and relationships in a recent interview with Grazia, saying: “If Bollywood shows us cinematic romance, then even that cinematic romance must have its fair share of complications. Our relationships are not perfect because we are not. Every relationship takes effort — you have to work at it and nurture it.”
The 29-year-old actress referenced her latest film, JugJugg Jeeyo, as it shows us the gamut of modern-day relationships — falling in love, marriage and the inevitable divorce.
Speaking of the burden of cinema in Bollywood, the actress said: “In a country like India, how do you reach someone who goes to a PVR multiplex and an auto rickshaw driver in Gaiety? I also want to entertain the 80-year-old person as well as entertain the 10-year-old kid,” she says. “So why do all of our films have to be so nuanced and niche?”
Meanwhile, Kiara’s projects include the work front ‘RC-15’ with Ram Charan. She recently said that her very first pan-Indian project, directed by S. Shankar, was quite a unique experience for her. “Even though I can’t reveal much about the story or my character just yet, I can say that it’s a completely different world. We know what a genius Shankar is, sir, he can make any story or character larger than life. He’s like a magician and working with him is a huge learning curve for me,” Kiara told IANS.
The Kabir Singh actress also has Govinda Naam Mera starring Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, is slated to hit theaters on June 10, 2022.
