North Central Railway’s Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) issued a new recruitment notice on Saturday, inviting applications from interested and suitable candidates to apply for apprenticeship positions.
Candidates can apply for railway jobs online at the official website rrcpryj.org. NCR is expected to fill a total of 1659 positions through this recruitment campaign. While the application process started today, the last application deadline for the rail jobs is August 1, 2022 (11:59 p.m.).
Applicants should be at least 15 years of age on August 1, 2022 and under 24 years of age. The upper age limit can be relaxed by 05 years for SC/ST applicants and by 03 years for OBC applicants. For persons with disabilities (PWD), the upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
Essential Qualifications
Candidate must have passed SSC/matriculation/grade 10 exam or equivalent (under the 10+2 exam system) with a total of at least 50% of credits from a recognized board and must have passed ITI in relevant trade issued by NCVT /SCVT, recognized by the Government of India.
Selection Process
The selection of suitable applicants for training under the Apprentice Act 1961 is made on the basis of the merit list, which is prepared by averaging the percentages of grades obtained by applicants in both matriculations [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination, in which both age groups are weighted equally.
In addition, for professions in which the minimum training criterion is 8th Pass + ITI, the list of merits is prepared by taking the average of grades in the 8th and ITI grades (in the profession in which training is to be completed). The shortlisted candidates who are hired in this way are called up for the document/certificate check to the extent of 1.5 times the reported positions.
