Sini Shetty from Karnataka was crowned Femina Miss India 2022

Sini Shet­ty from Kar­nata­ka was announced as the win­ner of the Fem­i­na Miss India World 2022 title at Sun­day’s VLCC Fem­i­na Miss India Grand Final here.

At the cer­e­mo­ny, held at the Jio World Con­ven­tion Cen­tre, Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan was named the first run­ner-up at Fem­i­na Miss India 2022 and Shi­na­ta Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh was named the sec­ond run­ner-up at Fem­i­na Miss India 2022.

Actors Neha Dhu­pia, Dino Morea and Malai­ka Aro­ra, design­ers Rohit Gand­hi and Rahul Khan­na, chore­o­g­ra­ph­er Shia­mak Davar and for­mer crick­eter Mithali Raj were part of the evening’s judg­ing pan­el. The com­pe­ti­tion, in its hybrid for­mat, had launched a nation­wide hunt to find poten­tial tal­ent from every cor­ner of the coun­try through vir­tu­al audi­tions. Accord­ing to a state­ment from the orga­niz­ers, the exten­sive scout­ing cam­paign and the sub­se­quent rounds of inter­views cul­mi­nat­ed in the short­list of 31 state winners.

“These short­list­ed final­ists arrived in Mum­bai and under­went rig­or­ous train­ing and groom­ing ses­sions, men­tored by the best in the busi­ness, to com­pete for the cov­et­ed Fem­i­na Miss India World 2022,” the note continued.

Dhu­pia, for­mer Fem­i­na Miss India Uni­verse, said the Fem­i­na Miss India jour­ney brings back “mem­o­ries of the price­less expe­ri­ences I had with this pageant”. “It’s almost like reliv­ing every moment of my jour­ney with these young glam­orous girls who are so full of enthu­si­asm and abil­i­ty to con­quer the world with pow­er and elegance.

“Cer­tain­ly there are chal­lenges with the dig­i­tal process in the wake of the pan­dem­ic, but I’m con­fi­dent that regard­less of the lay­out, it will be just as excit­ing and reward­ing,” the actor said in a statement.

Actors Kri­ti Sanon, Lau­ren Got­tlieb and Ash Chan­dler per­formed on the star-stud­ded evening. The show was host­ed by Maniesh Paul. VLCC Fem­i­na Miss India 2022 was co-oper­at­ed by Sepho­ra, Moj and Rajni­gand­ha Pearls.
