The new iPad OS is a dream come true, and also a dream come weird. It’s better with a monitor, but still weird. I tested while playing Settlers of Catan.

I really don’t know why Apple doesn’t use regular words and wants to feel like they have their own words. That zooming of the window does not zoom in the windows, it makes them “Fullscreen”, why not title it what has been around forever “Fullscreen”. Zooming entails the content would become bigger but they don’t.
Even the name “stage manager” is a bit daft. Those windows are not stages they are windows. They just didn’t want to call it multi-tasking or windows manager.
II think it can beat samsung dex.….…
Apple Is just remaking features the Mac has had for years and incorporating iOS features into Mac os. At this point they should just make them touch screen MacBooks
Is it really okay to instal it the beta version? I have a lot of work on my ipad, ( illustration etc ) will my data save after i install the 0s 16?
apple screwed us its only on the m1 ipads
its just a beata
So many bugs
I also want Stage Manager for IOS devices
Stage Manager is not effective making the content on screen smaller, less usable screen real estate.
I really think stage manager is for using an external monitor while the split screen is still meant for multitasking without an external monitor
Hi Wheatsheepwood8. I added you in Catan
Samsung dex way ahead of its time
For real work you simply can’t beat a MacBook Air with its integrated trackpad. IPad is just pleasure machine with a little magic and that’s about it.
I am so excited to finally play with this feature in September! Still very glad it’s optional though, as I prefer the current multitasking layout for my smaller 11” iPad Pro. Feels more like a feature I’d prefer on the 12.9” model and while using external displays.
Have seen an video/article about broken mac screens that get detached from the keyboard. The concept needs some polish but it would easily be doable.
전에 있던 미러 기능이 더 좋았는데
Tired of all the whining about Apple not making iPads behave like the Mac. It’s an old argument that Apple is ignoring and only geeks want it. The average general use iPad owner could care less. But what we all could use is Multi-User Profiles or at least a guest mode.
Until iPad is can play two sources of audio at once, it cannot claim to multi task.
Thank god
Only thing I need to do is run fightcade steam now
What cable are you using to connect the iPad to the monitor
Thx for the review and thx for staying critical. Those so called iPad revolutions make me cringe. Given the price point of a M1 mac plus magic keyboard, the way that Apple make the iPad evolve is more then irritating. By the way, what is multi tasking without a genuine finder like desktop???
Center stage not available on new iPad mini
I just got an iPad Air 5 — was going to wait for the official release but I have to install the Beta now to try this out — seems a promising step forward for iPad OS
people who keep comparing this thing to “laptop or want a laptop should just get a laptop.
because it seems they are never going to be satisfied until the iPad literally transforms into a laptop.
or maybe apple should label one of their MacBook pro models as “iPad”
and maybe then, the answer to “can the iPad replace your laptop” would be a ‘yes’
Dude u lie iPadOS 16 isn’t seriously buggy at all!
Samsung Dex is better than it did
But can it charge and use external screen at the same time
It was never the display that kept me from using my iPad Pro as a computer, it was the lack of real desktop apps that I need to use for work. Then there is the janky mouse support. This changes nothing.
