How to clean a flat screen while having explosive diarrhea. Asking for a friend.
How does CNET know that I spilled a whole cup of Mio water on my keyboard 2 nights ago? I didn’t even search anything about this… Now my offline life is in the algorithm!? 😬… But thanks, I’ll try those pointers. 👍🏽
¡Great tip! thank you
Easy, bin it and buy a new one.
Outstanding short solution to an occasional problem with sticky keys! Solutions not so good for an IBM Selectric Type II machine…alignment of metal underworld and connected points take a professional/specialist to deal with slow, aging, unused typewriter or gummy lubricant of past that acts like/stiffens over time…a complete disassembly is required to renew the action and, speed of keys hitting the mark on paper as expected!
come on, people. No comments about human fluids yet? where has the comedy in this world gone to? SMH 😩🤦
Nice one, my keyboard gets sticky all the time and I don’t even drink soda.
I’m a stoner .. picture of the key board before removing anything is needed .. haha
Little is much when you have God in it. Have a blessed day and week, Praise and Glory to Christ
I thought you were talking about another type of stickiness on the keyboard.…. Excuse me.
I will look for that tool. It seems very useful.
Just remove all power source and throw it in a dish washer, when it’s done let it dry for a couple days before connecting to power.
the presenter on this is actually legitimately funny
I’m realizing so many things in my life are analogous to a problematic key cap. And that I keep trying to fix them by soaking it all in alcohol 😶
I would never let soda dry over any keyboard, I would rather pour pure water right after the accident because soda is much more corrosive than water. Then I would proceed with the process of drying it. About vacuum cleaners: apart from obviously being appropriate for liquids, you can safely use it without fear of sucking small parts if you cover the end of the tube with any fabric that is thin enough to let the air pass through and at the same time prevent small pieces to be sucked in. Thin socks are perfect.
Wow. Fantastic advice. Never would of thought about doing any of that…
Thanks for the hints. I use a vacume cleaner to clean my keyboard with a peace of cloth in front of it so I won’t lose a keycap in the process.
The Isopropyl alcohol is the key to removing the stickiness in the keyboard. This is what worked for me. If it is sticky, the air does not work. You have to clean the stickiness carefully with the alchohol.
OK well what if it’s on my laptop
are there tips to disassemble laptop keyboard?
Must have used a Q‑tip and 99% isopropyl alcohol thirty times by now in the last few weeks but every day or so they just are sticky again, all the same 13 keys from a soda spill awhile ago… I wipe and work around they keys vigorously for like an hour or two every time… a ducky one two mini is what I have… if anyone has any ideas I’m happy to listen.
thank you this really works on my mini mechanical keyboard
this voice is rly similar to Tom Hanks ..wtf man …
thanks worked great sir
big happy big happy big happy big happy big happy big happy big happy
Your sound advice on fixing this problem is only outweighed by your keen deadpan humor. Many thanks.
tried the achogol thing on my keyboard and 2 keys still stick idk if its cause ther wipes i used are only 70% alcohol
I dont understand whats wrong with my keyboard it still “sticks” when i press the key down and i let go it gets stuck down more than usual before coming back up especially compared to the rest of the keys and this hasnt happened before and ive tried this and it still isnt working , its not the key cap itself as i replaced it and it still happens Btw im on a mechanical keyboard and this keyboard is only a month old :/
Does hand sanitizer work instead of alcohol?
thank you very much
😂
Thank you this really helped me get all the syrup out of my keyboard
2:51 what if exactly that part is sticky? Do I essentially have to get a new keyboard at that point?
1:06 I feel attacked
this video was painful to watch
Worthless video. By own experience, once the liquid gets into the switch itself, which it does immediately, makes all efforts useless. All your video shows, is cleaning the surface of the keyboard, which is pointless, since the soda seeps into the switch itself. The only way to fix this is either a box filled with isopropyl where u basically bath the keyboard in it, or bath the switches if they are from a custom made keyboard and are removable, where u basically remove every switch and bath it in the alcohol.
i dont even have that thingamajig
Can I use a handsanetyzer or whatever you spell it bc it is alcohol
can you use oil like you use for bikes for example?
