Ranbir Kapoor starring Brahmastra is one of the most anticipated films of the year and also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna. Recently, the creators unveiled the first romantic song from the film, Kesariya, which became an instant hit with audiences. Now, Ayan Mukerji, director of Brahmastra, revealed the teaser of the film’s second song titled Deva Deva. He also shared that the track will be released on August 8th.
Ayan shared the teaser of Deva Deva, calling it the soul of Shiva’s journey and captioned it: “DEVA DEVA teaser. (And the rest of it – out next Monday – the day of Lord Shiva) Deva Deva – was to compose the first song for Brahmāstra and immediately capture the soul of Shiva’s journey on film! It gave me so much energy and joy over time given that it was with us…And I’m really looking forward to finally sharing this feeling song with everyone – on August 8th!”

In the video, Ranbir aka Shiva can be seen praying to God and explaining the concept of light to Isha (Alia Bhatt). “It protects us from any darkness,” he says. Later it also shows various glimpses of Shiva exploring his firepower with Amitabh Bachchan. Deva Deva is sung by Arijit Singh, composed by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva is scheduled to be released on September 9th in five Indian languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is being financed by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures. It is intended to serve as the first in a planned trilogy as part of its own cinematic universe called the Astraverse.
