The Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard Pro’s customizability, hot swappability and its friendliness to modifications are just a few shining features of this DIY keyboard. I spent a year tinkering around with it in search of the perfect build, here’s what you need to know if it’s your first time buying one.

Dope keyboard 👍.… Love the customization potentials😁😁😁🥺🥺🥺
This feels like a commercial 🤔
I have a GMMK Pro and I spent so much time trying to mod it. The major problems are the stock screw in stabs and sooo many screws that lose thread easily. Change stock stabs to durock screw in stabs, change to polycarbonate plate and it will make a helluva difference. The Akko Mod007 was far easier to mod. That being said this board has a distinct sound signature. Akko Jelly Blacks sound awesome on this board. I’ve had it for a year and its still running with no issues despite the fact that I’ve taken it apart more than half a dozen times.
It’s a great entry level keyboard if you’re looking to get your foot in the door of the custom side of the MK world, strongly recommend ‘Taeha Types’ review if this one leaves you undecided.
This thing is the biggest waste of money I think I’ve ever seen.
Is there a full size version? I love and use my number pad daily so I’d never buy a compact keyboard.
Yea I called it a backplate instead of a switch plate, deal with it chat!! 😂
Just do more keyboard reviews please
GMMK isn’t great anymore, kind of sucks now, I’d recommend the keychron q1, cheaper and better
It’s total garbage
great review
More videos like this please
There are so many other good options on the market now, gmmk pro is becoming irrelevant
Does it do anything beyond allowing you to use your favorite colors on the key caps and shine the lights out of the sides? Did I miss something?
Show stopper: it’s wired.
There’s no numbers pad. And for that reason, I’m out.
I think it’s a no, if you are an enthusiast that is. There are many other options which are so much better than it nowadays. For example you can get the all new qk65 for just 165$ and it sounds 1000% better, same goes for the q1(same layout, south facing, better sound, etc…), also the stabs on the gmmk pro are not worth mentioning at all, they are so bad (from what I’ve heard). There also is the all new tiger80 lite. It sounds good, feels good, and has all the needed keys if you really need to access the f row easily. It also comes with a custom print job on it’s own “tape mod” which you could put any image on it, all for a total of 120$. There is no way that I would recommend a gmmk pro to anyone especially since there are so many better keyboards for cheaper on within the same price range.
The PE foam mod completely changed this board for me. Typing sound went from ‘meh’ to very good imho.
What’s the real cost? I saw $170. Then I saw a bunch of other additional costs float by. I’m pretty happy with an off the shelf $100 keyboard. This is more than 70% more money before the extras. And, what does it cost WITH these essential extras?
Shameless advertising.
Great video 👍
Very informative video! Thank you!
What’s the best plate to go with linear switches?
No, just no, the board is actually so trash. I had the board and it sucked
PLEASE DONT BUY THIS KEYBOARD. THIS COULD BE A PAID ADVERTISEMENT FROM GLORIOUS
One thing holding me back form getting one of these is there is no way to connect a palm rest to it. I can guarantee the keyboard will slide and the palm rest, whether wood or padded, will stay in place, causing a gap, and constant repositioning. I’ve been using mechanical keyboards for awhile now, and its time to take a step into the world of custom. I will say I’m a huge fan of how Steelseries has magnetic attachments for the palm rest, which is an absolute necessity for me.
Own it. Love it. Grabbing another one soon.
This keyboard sucks, There’s a huge double pressing issue that they’ve just completely ignored. If you look it up heaps of people are having the same issue. It was fine for the first few months but now it’s one of my biggest buyers regrets.
Hi, I am new to mechanical keyboard. I love the customization and the look of this keyboard. But This is my first build, I won’t try any fancy things. So may I ask is it correct that I only need to purchase the case, switches and key caps and put them together and the keyboard will work?
Own one. Built it myself. Love everything about it. Gateron Black switches that I lubed with Aura black Keycaps. I plan on replacing my caps with Drop Artifact Bloom Glow
>Thock out of the box
>Sound clip is pingy and hollow
Ok.
You’re the glorious logo 😂 great video man out of all the reviews on his keyboard yours was hands-down, the best thank you so much dude
I sent my keyboard back to Glorious because the W key stopped registering on the circuit board, they lost it, and claimed because “they didn’t have it” they couldn’t send a return.
I tracked it, I can see they received it, and they’re straight up lying. Now I’m out like 200 bucks for this keyboard. This sucks. I do not recommend this keyboard, or this company.
I’ve just built mine with akko cs sakuras and i love it. It’s so satisfying and it gives you a very good typing feel.
Why not make this wireless? … like keyboards costs half of this have those options
@ 4:40. What do u mean about peak RGB vs whatever it comee w/ ? @ 4:51 My Ducky One 2 Mini & TKL of 5 yrs ago has macro onboard, record, Fnc, program, multi input user profiles
I agree. Once U go quality mechanical its hard ro use anymore else’s basic. Even my 1st Ducky pre-built felt so nice out of the bix so now im venturing into the Varmklo & now Glorious. I want RGB bling but some user programmable.
Can you please tell the name of the key caps at 3:31 ?
