Why are there two videos in this series that are completely different but both titled season 1 episode 3?
The narrator sounds just like the guy that was narrating the beginning of treasure planet 😂
Considering the state that our country is in now I almost wished that the Confederates have won🤬
The history channel needs to get back to doing documentaries
Shiloh is a Hebrew name that means “place of peace”.
I miss these!
How full of Shite is this gonna be ? Shite as expected.
NO pawnshop?????????????????????????
My 5th Great Grandfather fought 9in this battle and many others and survived. Joseph Payne moved to a Payne’s Bend on the Cumberland River. He is burried on a hill overlooking the river. Thank you for this reenactment! it’s a gift to walk in his footsteps.
My great grandfather was wounded at the Battle of Shiloh, survived that injury, went back home and got married. Had a child who eventually would be my grandmother on my father’s side and yada, yada, yada — here I am.
Superb production and enriching History Channel series. Gawd I wish the History Channel still broadcasted shows like this 24/7. Make the History Channel Great Again.
We can only imagine the horror of those two days.
Gen. Johnston was a tremendous loss.
The Yankees were basically (95%+ )at the time adventurers , jobless individuals who signed up for the bonus, free meals and new cloths along with the arriving immigrants met at the dock who had no money or place to live along with those only seeking fame and reputation among neighjbors and trying to increase their prospects in life and willing to murder their neighbors and southern relatives in order to do it. The northern government ( Lincoln) was unconstitutionally and tyrannically trying to keep the many states who felt abused and agrieved by decades of inequitable treatment from leaving the consortium in of states which was originally guaranteed to them if it ever came to that point. Lincoln and others fully admitted that the north could not survive in the lifestyle that they had become accustomed to without the revenue derived from the south which had been paying for 75–80% of the country’s expenses and infrastructure for decades . If Johnston had not been unfortunately killed , he would not have wasted time driving the rest of the invading murderers into the river.
General William Wallace lived up to his name.
He has LUMBAGO
I’m on this earth because my Great great great grandfather was only wounded at Gainesmills . Came home to Mt, Holly NJ and lived into his ninetys.
don’t blame the History Channel for changing into the alien/pawn sleazeballs channel. Blame your neighbors. TV networks go where the money is and the money is where the eyeballs are.
I heard lumbago and instantly thought of uncle
“The Rebel Cause”. Funny: Treason is not a cause.
what have we accomplished in 160 yrs? the cities are still battlegrounds with no law enforcement. thugs running rampart, jails full, we need strong leaders!!!! not pink haired freaks !!
At beginning of the documentary April 6, 1862, but at the 34:25 minute mark you’re starting off on April 3, 1962. Just a question why didn’t you start on April 3, 1862 or was that date incorrect maybe it should’ve been April 8, 1862
After you lose a barely defended city but then 4 turns away, you have an elite 20 stack, lock, cocked and ready to go.
My great great grandfather and his brothers fought in the 34th Illinois Volunteer Infantry Company F. George L. Richardson, James W. Richardson, Willam J. Richardson fought at Shiloh.
WWG1WGA !!! time
When History channel showed History, not reality TV for the brain dead.
Such a waste of life on both sides
No fire and maneuver no basic medical training no relay down to each on how to relay orders nothing just a cluster F
Where are the aliens? 👽
I finished out this video sobbing 😭
So, here we go again.
Im a big admirer of Union General U.S. Grant. His success in the Western theaters starting from Fort Henry and Donaldson then Shiloh, where he was criticized for being caught off guard and accused of drinking, resulting in General Hallack reliving him of command until President Lincoln stepped in restored him back to command. Even General Sherman who served with Grant throughout the Western theater all the way to Grant’s big victory at Chattanooga, talked him out of resigning. As Lincoln said, “I cannot spare this man”.“He fights”. I also give Credit to Union General Wallace and his brigade and Prentiss’s division for making their heroic stand on the Union center later called “The Hornet’s Nest”, giving Grant time to rally his army and establishing a new defensive line at Pittsburgh landing, aided by union gunboat support from the Lexington and Tyler, and reinforced by Union General Buell’s army. 🇺🇲
It’s very clear George soros had infiltrated the White House. FJB
Hope the Yankees are proud about what their beloved Union has become. Half their ancestors are boys becoming girls and vice versa. Their great grandparents holed up afraid to go out on the street or store for fear of getting assaulted, murdered, or raped. Good call Liberals
My ansester fought for the confederacy
Grant was not in charge of the army of TN, his regional commander refused Grant’s request to pursue the confederates.
My multi-great grandfather fought in the Hornet’s Next Battle of Shiloh from the Iowa 8th Infantry Company C. After his mandatory time was through, he volunteered and reenlisted. Lytle Americus “L.A.” Stephens from Washington, Iowa.
Hands of god cmon like Rome siege of Jerusalem Every one had a hand of god just not high enough
I went to Shiloh in elementary school it was the high point in my schooling.
How can Where the Southerners did Commerce. I believe they called it “Northern Aggression.”
USA is a Constitutional REPUBLIC! The President has NO POWER! Only the Congress does.Per the Constitution. And 100% of the States Representatives have to participate in the “LAW making PROCESS!” And to pass a BILL 63% of that 100% of the States Representatives participating has to VOTE the Same WAY! A 2/3rds VOTE!
At NO TIME in Abraham Lincolns’ presidency did he have all 100% of the States Representatives participating. Besides, Abraham Lincoln was going by a “DEMOCRACY” for MAJORITY to RULE! Lincoln would use a “Quorum” of whomever was present: And to pass a BILL into LAW, it took a
51% VOTE. MAJORITY VOTE.
What sense does it make for a President to build an Army against his own people. Then have that “Union” Army to attack, at least
50% of his Countrys’ ECONOMIC SYSTEM TO DESTROY IT?
MANCHU’S HOO-AHH
I really hope that will Wallace and Ann Wallace meet in heaven. I was hoping for him to survie.
Stealing and looting love letters from the dead. Seriously, how sick , disgusting, and evil do you have to be to do something like that.
I like to think that if i was military age at that time i would have done the smart thing and headed west and north a little.
