New Delhi: Actor Vijay Sharma has captured the hearts of millions across the country with his latest release ‘Darlings’. The actor, who played the role of a drunk husband named “Hamza” in the film, received positive reviews from all sides, that is, from critics to fans.
While things are going smoothly for the actor and his film, the same cannot be said of others who have had a tough time at the box office and have faced constant boycott calls from a segment of the public on social media. It recently happened with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and now it’s happening with Taapsee Pannus’ Dobaaraa.
In a recent interview with India Today, the actor said on the subject that the current culture of boycotts and cancellations in Bollywood can be scary because it’s a little out of control now. He believes that something said ten years ago could have offended some individuals who today prefer to make a big issue out of it.
The film “Darlings” also starred actors Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah, and the film, which was a co-production between Eternal Sunshine Productions (owned by Alia Bhatt) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, was released on August 5 and is now available to stream on Netflix.
Vijay, who is currently basking in the film’s success, also has several projects lined up, including names like Dahaad, a television series, and Sujoy Ghosh’s Untitled Next.
