DJI Avata Review: The Most Fun I’ve Had Flying a Drone
CNET,Technology,Tech,dji,drones,fpv,dji avata
At $629 for the drone and $1,169 with controller and goggles, DJI’s latest drone makes FPV flying more accessible than ever. And despite crashing it twice, I had an amazing time flying it.

Do I need to be in cell tower ranfe or can I fly one of these in the middle of nowhere far from civilization?
Had one went straight the tree branches and came down in pieces
I like the music
Hi i have the hubsan zino mini pro but my friend who is limited sighed is looking at this drone would this be any good or not thanks again keep up the good work
dumb controller
Dji are scammers. I’m waiting for replace of a new drone, which has an issues out of the box. I sent it on 25 of November. I had to get my drone back at 1–12 December, but still didn’t. And dji support ignores me!!!!!
FPV has way better performance. I get 65mph in sport and 95mph in manual with master screw props. It is very fragile tho, one wreck and you may be getting a new drone. I’m impressed with the avatas ability to crash and fly. I’m on my 4th fpv from very minor crashes or hard landings. The sensors go bad and there is no fix. Buy the insurance for sure it’s saved me a bunch of cash and kept me flying.
Is there any one who is that much rich that he can gift me a DJI avata … please
This is a commercial not a review. There are always downsides (unless you’re watching a commerical)
it should float
How far can you go seriously don’t lie🤷♂️🤔
I wear glasses, would I have a hard to wearing goggles?
great video, are these drone out in Australia?
So this guy is a liar. The Avata is complete garbage. Bought one, wouldn’t stay connected, the video feed and motion controller was lagging and kept flying the drone into trees. Complete garbage. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Hi thanks for the review… i have seen somewhere that the avata had sensors toavoid hitting things…but i guess i saw wrong ? Any Dji drones with such features ?
This is more than 249 grams and less flight time than the Mini, so unfortunately not a good choice for me. I hope they make micro model.
Does anyone know the rules regarding these, with respect to the requirement to keep the drone in line of sight?
Just boight one. Will do first flight next week
I wish I have that kind of drone
The FPV isn’t its predecessor. It’s a different drone. Ones somewhere between a FPV drone and a standard camera drones. The others a cinewhoop.
I’m concerned about the controller. I like the gamer-style. Not sure about the stick, motion control. Should I be worried?
Fpv drones look so fun. I wish they weren’t so expensive 😢
The charge .. 100 cycles like Fpv too?? ❤
Does this fly somewhat like the dji fpv drone, for some reason I can fly that better than my envogue V2„
Seems like you havent flown the first Fpv. That Drone is a hayday. Its litterly got horse power. The Avata seems cool with a top speed of 60. The other does 60 in sport. 90 in manual. Depending on what you want. The first drone rips. Like hard. I have had it 3 weeks and im in love.
Awesome video and review! Im ❤ing the new Avata. I just did my first HD indoor flight and it was amazing. I posted it on my channel if you want to check it out. 👍 from Pittsburgh 😊
Integra or Goggles 2?? I’m about to make my purchase. Thx for your input on this
