If General Hill had responded in timely fashion, this would have been over.
This is s2 e3, not season 1.
Just imagine is Jackson was alive when lee was at Gettysburg would of been LEE Longstreet Jackson the south definitely had the better Commanders
Makes me question why southerners glorify the confederates. They were slaver rebels, they had terrible tactics, and Robert E LEE was an IDIOT
🤙🤙🔥🔥
Are the confederates going to invade Mexico Thru new Mexico like theyh tried 4 times and were send back to Texas way. Practice to colonize America.
The Union — That’s exactly like I see it.
Thank you @History for telling history as it was and not through a biased political agenda lens
Back when the History Channel actually showed HISTORY.
What? , No aliens, Bigfoot, or hunting for treasures that don’t exist?
I’m shocked 😳
I carried 100lbs airborne ranger 84–04 that type of warfare no wonder so many dead
Well jackson this is Robert e Lee saying jackson you lost your left arm I’ve lost my right arm.
Stephen Crane based “The Red Badge of Courage” on this battle. Make the History Channel great again! Aliens are fake and ghey!
I had a relative who served in the 18th NC infantry regiment that shot Stonewall Jackson.
So the supposed military genius rode into a section of jumpy lines not expecting him at night? Thank god he did.
“Are you a devout Christian?
Are you aggressive?
If yes to both, then strap-in because you’re gonna be a great commander!”
- James Robertson Jr
The surprise attack was a pretty good success they got lots of loot
Ever kind divine providence called Grant and Sherman brought the traitors to their knees despite the best efforts of incompetent Union commanders of the Army of the Potomac.
“If Jackson lived, ” thankful he didn’t then.
No the Union would have eventually wore the Confederacy down. They could not compete with the manufacturering base in the north and there were 5 or 6 times as many potential soldiers in the North. Yea Chancellorsville was a Union defeat. They lost 17,000. The South lost 13,000 that could not and would not be easily replaced. People want to romanticize this was and romanticize Stonewall Jackson. He claimed to be a Christian. Yet he fought to keep people enslaved and used as property. If that’s Christianity then I say no thank you.

Finally! A good documentary made by the HISTORY Channel! Troops fighting in historically accurate formations and accurate information, never thought I’d see the day.
Every history class from grade school all the way till college I’ve ever been to always talks about Stonewall Jackson as if he was some genius but for the life of me I don’t understand why.
Hey guys what if ancient aliens is right
A Christian general LOL thats pretty telling
Anyone could have thought of a flank attack.
How brave these men had to be. To stand there with no protection and fire their rifles.
35:17 I’m thinking he’d have to use his big toe for that one.
Wow that confederate historian could be copied and pasted from the 1860s.
The May 3rd battle scenes are some of the most epic I’ve seen.
