Isadore- Orion, Olympic training- cliff and base jumping course. He trains with bald eagles and kangaroos. Hawks are often associted with Orion- he does train with Hawks as well. When you see a Hawk with Orion, it symbolizes privacy- all that know that, no not to interupt him.
omg… its not from “rising sea levels”, its from 100s of years of the ocean eroding the coastline, waves, storms, vs a sandy shoreline
“if” the sea level is rising, its from all the materials it is constantly eroding and dragging further and further out, which become part of the sea bed, which sure, might cause the oceans to rise
The area they were standing in has been left natural for a very long time, no developing etc, so nothing interfering with the work of nature.
Powatan lied to protect them. The colonists didn’t die. They showed the Indians how to make guns and fortifications. They would be considered traitors. I believe John White knew. He hid the mark on the map with a patch.
Hey you shouldbrush before you drink josh
read the book solving the mystery of the lost colony Roanoke by Lee Miller,it explains just how screwed they were before they ever set foot on land
My guess is that the Giants ate them, the Amerian Indians knew historically & @ present, that Giants existed past time & still do Today!
This man is so look able !
excellent
josh berstein, good job
Really great tv report! The colonists moved westward and did join the Labbe tribe, Henry Pain was one of the survivors. I do think previous indians attacked the rest of the settlers and they struggled to get food and water.
5 minutes in here lol but I guess that were pretending that manteo or sorry “Roanoke” island isn’t full of million dollar homes and inhabited by the rich and snobby? The only “wild” part of the island is the tiny park on the north end for the hoax of the “lost colony”. Everyone knows the truth. They just refuse to accept it.
I do love this video and the history but I didn’t set well with me that he called Native Americans Indians :/
Their homes had been destroyed, or so,e left to escape Persecution SO, “THEY” FLED their homeland “Europe” to GO “EXPLORING” wow what a fairytale. Those explores that you admire STOLE land from it NATUAL INHABITANTS, and begin destroying their resources. Now some place WITHIN THE UNITED STATES, clean fresh water IS RATIONED. I find it just astounding at the lengths WHITE PEOPLE GO TO COVER UP THE TRUTH.
all the questions in episode 5 where already answered in episode 2
Lol you should have talked to me instead of Steve 😂
LOVE This Story since Grade School!! History!💖🙏🇺🇸
What if Pocahontas was actually descended from the lost colony? If her father supposedly slaughtered the colony, it’s likely they took at least some of the women.
It should be noted this episode originally aired February 20th, 2006.
Josh’s genetic research was a Payne
The fact they have taken so long stalling on opening it makes me think they know it was looted in the past and now sits empty.
You can’t convince me that mercury is what’s keeping China out of something.
I love REAL history. Certain people screaming about immigration, and “being American” — unless you can trace your tribe, or your Mexican ancestry, your people CAME to this country…✌🏾
Repent jesuschris is coming amen
Indians killed them
Palisades: Now, I am non genius. At least, my wife tells me I am wrong when I claim to be. And I am far too spoiled by modern technology to build something like that without my DeWalts. BUT…
…Even a 21st century modern schmo like me can see that you would do all of that drilling, and connect all of those logs…in sections…while you have them on the ground…rather than turning a hand crank drill above your head. Either the colonists were really dumb, or the reenactors are doing it wrong.
Very good work
According to Lawler’s book The Secret Token, the colony was not lost but abandoned. The conflict with Spain and England made it challenging to return to NC due to conflicts at sea; also, the cost of rescue, etc., was not considered feasible because of the costs of conflict with Spain; lastly, 100 people wasn’t considered enough to run the risk of escalating the conflict with Spain. Raleigh was also losing his status at Court. White could get no financing from the Court or others to help. The colony was basically abandoned because of lack of interest in further funding due to lack of interest and the conflict with Spain.
So when are they going to tell the truth about the aboriginal 🙄🙄
Maybe big foot got them
Next time try a misquote helicopter
Must have got a killer deal on that vacuum I would have returned it!
Very interesting actually. History is always the best ! I’ve always loved learning about the world’s past lives! Makes everything much more interesting!
I only heard they found “cro”
Just giving the events of the 1585 Ralph Lane Expedition a cursory overview, combined with the renewed belief in the veracity of the First Dare Stone, which I share; it seems pretty clear to me that the Roanoke Colonists were wiped out.
Imagine you find out you’re related to living people in a foreign country.
It was even known at the time that “Croatoan” meant that the people MOVED NORTH to the Croatoan settlement on what’s now called Hatteras Island. There was no mystery to it at the time.
How many people would the surname pain came to America and the hundred years after The colony went missing. It could be people that came to your we’re looking for family that were in that colony and that they just stayed. Sounds a little more plausible to me. But you know if they say imagination is limitless.
A pow wow and they make like a wagon circle around the dance with the tents.
There were 117 colonists. What Native American cultural group could absorb so many people? If the Lumbee were matriarchal, how were last names passed down? Does Michael Payne have any Native American DNA to indicate that he represents the assimilation of the Roanoke colonists into the Native American culture? It is unlikely the colonists could have only married within the British group for very long. A descendent of James Payne, however, could have come to America in the seventeenth century before the 300-year-old documented bloodline of the Paynes. Could any of the Payne colonists trace their roots to the area where James Payne lived?
So glad someone finally said what I’ve always believed would solve the mystery!
