#Youre #Spam #Calls
Hi , someone contacted me on telegram and told me that I won a prize I need to know if it was cnet or just a scammer
Nice sister. I am Muslim too from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
If you’re lucky enough to have telemarketer screening on your home phone you could do call forwarding to the house phone. Seems to be working really good I haven’t had a scam call on the house phone in 2 years
And don’t hit ignore button they’ll call right back because they know you’re ignoring them just hit the silence button and let it continue to ring quietly that will throw them off eventually
Wrong clip I know but wanted to chime in on the iPhone/Android green chat bubble. An iMessage in blue is free to send where a green bubble means it’s either coming out of your sms allowance or paying to send that message if you have run out of sms allowance. It’s always green between iPhone and android because android has no iMessage functionality.
This may sound crazy but why not just ban every phone number in the country and unblock the numbers that we use everyday with the exception of 911 and other gov numbers
No joke, I got one like every 25 minutes
I believe in the future they may have a system that can stop the spam callers from breathing then eventually the earth 🌎 won’t have spam callers or robo calls.
My cell phone provider is straight talk. I’ve called them about the spam calls but you can’t talk to a live person . I receive 12 spam calls a day. I block them but they just change their numbers. It’s a never ending cycle. Now I’m getting restricted calls and there is no way to block them. This is a real problem.
I just put in do not Disturb, then if it’s a Repeat call from a Same Number or Let them leave a message. That way you’ll know who’s Calling
My boss just ran up to me asking me for help about this. He got into the office at 9:30 and has gotten nonstop calls since…we’re talking about at least 50 calls that have been occurring right after each other. No one answers, the phone just hangs up after. What’s happening? Getting random calls from PA, IL, CO, and other countries.
this is excellent free advertising for @SPAMbrand
shouldn’t the Biden administration try to do something about this Those deadbeat do nothing
Try Call screening Google voice. It will Stop those robocalls. It is already available on Pixel phones.
The government should automatically register people to that list or make it a policy as no one wants spam phone calls
Spammers ruined it for the people who just wanted to call and ask if their fridge is running.
I just ignore any calls not friends or family.
Everytime someone spams my phone
I’m going to just post the numbers here in the comment section. You may do what you want with these spammers.
Here’s a big picture explanation for those unaware.
_______________
TERMS:
VOIP ‑a technology that allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. Examples include popular services like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Google Duo, Skype etc….
IMSI — The international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) /ˈɪmziː/ is a number that uniquely identifies every user of a cellular network.
TCPA — The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) of 1991 was created in response to consumer concerns about the growing number of unsolicited telephone marketing calls to their homes and the increasing use of automated and prerecorded messages.
Subscriber Line Charge — The Subscriber Line Charge is a fee that you pay to your local phone company that connects you to the telephone network. The money received from the subscriber line charge goes directly to local telephone companies.
_______________
WHY THEY DONT ACTUALLY STOP SPAM/SCAM calls:
Vast majority of scam/spam calls are from VOIP services. Either large businesses using the software as its connected to their computer network systems, ie,…creditors, marketing etc.
Or is smaller illegitimate businesses or people using other VOIP services from mobile phones or computer systems.
These VOIP companies or programs, pay a Subscriber Charge to the phone networks to be able to connect to them.
If the FCC actually wanted to stop it, they would have to regulate the ability for VOIP to connect to actual phone networks.
They wont do this because obviously there’s way too much money being collected.
What about individually allowing a customer to block VOIP or non verified numbers?
The answer is that the more companies trying to use your number, the more the phone networks get paid the subscriber charge. If they allow you to block VOIP or whatever, then less companies will buy your data (phone number etc..), and eventually less companies paying them.
The mobile industry alone brings in more than $3 trillion revenue every year. A percentage of that is made from VOIP user services paying the subscriber charges, without as much VOIP or illegitimate callers couldn’t call you.
The reason VOIP or fake numbers are used, is because it’s very difficult for the end user receiving the calls to verify the number.
There’s a lot lot more to it but ultimately, phone companies get paid by scammers/marketing spammers to use VOIP to connect to actual phone networks.
They can verify and block easily, but they won’t for as long as they get paid. At our expense.
Hahaha ‘Do Not Call List’. That thing is a joke. I’ve been on for years and i check yearly to be sure i’m still on, makes no difference.
I usually say I report to the national Do Not Call Registry but every once in awhile, I juggled the phone and then I ask, ” Are you my mommy?” and then I wait. If they don’t hang up then, I juggle the phone some more and tap the mouthpiece hard and say, “Mommy?” while I’m sobbing uncontrollably like children will. Even though they love it, they hang up.
since yesterday, i’ve been getting so many random calls, most of them tilted scam likely, others have a phone number & a random location.
I get a spam call roughly every 3 MINUTES, SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE, can barely use my phone.
I just mouthed off to spam caller . Just sick of them
Hotmail spam folder still not working. How they can’t tell “costco” is nit spam. And phone it would be amazing if there was just way to block all unknown number without buying app
I only started getting them when I switched to Verizon 🤬😡
You are GREAT. A big thank you!
Solution is simple contact phone numbers can ring non contact straight to voicemail 😂 l don’t answer them anyway but when l am watching YouTube they are like mosquitoes 😂
At 4:45 I got a ad with robo killer lol
8:13 because the spammers will die from old age in future
Make phone transactions illegal
Only 10 a day? I’m getting upwards of 60 a day
I get more than 100 a day im about to lose my damn mind.
It’s just another way for these companies to make more money
I wonder if I get these companies and spammers addresses and give it out to anyone on the black market would I get arrested and would it be legal? Hmm 🤔
This is the country theses NPC’s keep yapping that’s so free than any other country? Yeah, they’re free to get your information and sell it legally as they please without your permission.
tired of this there lucky i cant find out where they live
i had thease spam calls i just used a free call blocker and it worked and this video helped a lot
if you have to pay for a spam filter the company you are paying is profiting from that spam. don’t pay!
One day I received 42 robocalls in an 8 hour period. That’s on average one call every 12 minutes for 8 hours straight. I should have had the robocalls program .I probably could have had them pay 3k to 5k just for that day for that day alone.
I’m getting 40+ phone calls a day. During certain periods, like 8AM-10AM they call every 3–5 minutes. I turned on the spam filter build into the Phone settings in iOS. One setting silences unknown callers, the other silences junk callers. It’s carrier specific, but they should be similar. I’m definitely going to start reporting every call to 7726. I’ve also put my number on the do not call registry, even though that won’t do much.
Useless and generic
It is the annoying unwanted Spectrum Calls. They always say your service is out of date. Please press one to get more information. I’ve asked a number of times to take me off the call list, and they STILL call! I’m on the Do Not Call List, yet they call sometimes 4 times a day
Any chance of getting off of facebook and creating a alternative local online classifieds to buy, sell, trade and post wanted listings? It’s too much work to get on here and established only to have facebook ban or block me from their buying/selling groups while allowing many of these spammers and scammers to make many hundreds of thousands of posts. Makes me wonder if facebook has some partnership with them. Did I violate facebook’s policy by blocking obvious spammers or scammers?
Why not just Make an answering machine that says “in order to reduce spam calls please press 1 to get connected”
We get a spam call from “medicare” or “senior benefits” just about every 5 to 10 minutes on our home phone. It is ridiculous!!! They use a different number every single time. Ive blocked hundreds of numbers in the past week, but to no avail.
anyone else not get many and want more spam so they can prank them? such as saying “why” to everything and putting my phone under a pot and banging a spoon on it?
So we have scammers trying to make money from the people who fall for the scam so now there are companies making scam blocking apps that minimise these guys taking the money from these same fools they are benifiting from these scammers! now getting a monthly fee from people all over the world. I wonder if it’s a possibility that the ones making these apps are also the scammers. hypothetically speaking.
Is annoying annoying I receive more than 20 spam calls
