I’m sad this year has the least amount of SKUs and updates for the Laptop, it seems. I wonder what it means for the future of the device.
As of yesterday and Apple’s announcements (or lack of them) I’m looking hard at these.
been a surface pro user for 3 years and generally happy with it except battery
Refreshing to see a MS executive who‘s the opposite of Steve Ballmer
Panay has been there since the beginning, he has had his ups and downs and so have I. I bought the Surface RT, Surface 2, Surface 4 and now the Surface 8. The RT was great but they let us down by terminating its life shortly, the Surface 4 had hardware screen issues which was a disaster for many of us. I like the Surface 8, the battery life is not great though. The surface has never been my main computer, I have always wanted it to be but sadly something is just not right.
They wait 2 years to release the 8…now barely a year later they release the 9.. 🙄🙄 i would have saved my money if i knew they were gonna release this fast
Microsoft already have Xbox, I think there is no need for a gaming laptop
i want the pro 9 and the studio!
Good design…just lack power on the hardware side. With apple, we are told to believe there is both power and battery life. Intel unfortunately can’t keep pace!
no to Windows, Yes to mac
I hoped for microsoft to bring a strong ARM alternative to the M1 snd M2 from apple. But after 2 years, this is just still not a serious processor to compete with apple. And its very expensive as well. Microsoft really needed to bring out a banger product to compete. Bring devices to the users, this then forces developers to port their software to ARM and so on…
Xbox Laptops/tablets hybrids would sell like hotcakes. I work from home so I play games in between tasks
2:42 — “How does a product adapt to you?” It doesn’t still waiting for an Intel Surface Pro with built-in LTE that I can buy as a consumer.
they are all the same as the last year
Meanwhile, the Surface laptop studio got no refresh, which I think is priced slightly too high. I had one at my old job and I loved it.
For my COVID, “work from home” setup I would put it in that weird middle position, use an external bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and the screen was in a great position for me draw with the pen and whiteboard on Zoom calls without having to lean in awkwardly. I could just move the keyboard out of the way and pull the laptop to the edge of the desk
His personality perfectly matches the design of Surface and Windows.
Useless
What’s about surface book 4????
at 1:02 it seems like you accidently leaked a new surface laptop studio 2, with a stronger hinger and thinner design… (I’m assuming it’s a leak as to my knowledge there is no, well, knowledge of a new surface laptop studio and that design is completely different from the laptop studio we have now)
Just got my surface pro 9.….looking back at where it all started.…what a leap we have made in 10 years.…cheers…
