Pixel Watch Review: A Fitbit Apple Watch Mash-Up
CNET,Technology,health-wellness,review,google,tech
The Google Pixel Watch combines design, fitness and smartphone-oriented features better than most Android-friendly smartwatch options. But there’s still some work to be done, especially when it comes to battery life.

I really don’t know how to feel about an expensive $10 a month subscription..
You’ve got the playstore to get 1000’s of watch faces though so it’s limitless
Another mediocre product by Google. What a shame
what a bummer that you have to pay 10 usd a month for fitbit premium to get basic insights
These CNET people love to pretend nothing existed until Apple “invented” it.
Google missed their chance with me, although there are plenty of people that waste their money on buying a new device every year. But I’ll look at Google again in about four years. Now it’s off to reviews of the Galaxy 5 Pro and the TicWatch Pro 3, then click the buy button.
The problem is will it be accurate at apple watch..
Is Samsung dead to you?
I’ll stick with my Casio. 10 year battery life.
Makes you feel sorry for poor Samsung. 😁
the Samsung S4 is also a really Good watch. The pixel watch is for people that own Pixel Phones.
In the UK, the Pixel Watch LTE comes free with a purchase of the Pixel 7 Pro.
Thank-you for the review, Lisa! 🙂👍👉⌚
Damn can you talk about anything without every other word being Apple I didn’t know if this was a Pixel Watch review or a a Apple Watch review every other word was “like the Apple Watch”
The spherical shape is really appealing to me. Iphone compatibility please!
I don’t understand the obsession with a big screen on a watch. As if they’re gonna watch a movie on it hahaha. A reasonably big screen where it lets u read txt n other stuffs comfortably is more than enough. Same with smart phone screens. They want super bright screens, Samsung n apple made it now they complain they can’t use it out doors for longer cuz it heats up the phone or it’s just too bright at night that it hurts ur eyes lmao, these people just don’t know when it’s enough. They want everything but none of the drawbacks haha.… For once y can’t they just be grateful that atleast they get to enjoy all this tecnological benifit.
Definitely a first-gen watch but has a lot of room to grow.
Im guessing ill return mine once here. Im trully frustrated befor having it by knowing one of the most important features that is monitoring my healt is attatched to a suscription and My way of thinking is that if im buying an expensive piece all functions should be open and free maybe some extras could be charged but not esentials. If they plan to charge for using it would be better to make fix contracts that include the device
Does the Google Pixel Watch have an always-on second hand? The Apple Watches do not have it.
I can guarantee I’m not paying for fit bit. That’s stupid.
Locking functionality behind a Fitbit premium subscription. Nope. Pass.
I got mine today but can’t use it because I don’t have a plug for the cable!!
Good review…but girl, tie your hands down when talking…they distract from what you’re saying, and I realize this is easier said than done, but I’m just hoping it can help — that’s all. I don’t mean it in a rude manner and apologize if it’s taken that way.
Also, as an apple watch 7 and Ultra owner I have to say that Wear OS absolutely DEMOLISHES apple when it comes to watch face variety. Maybe apple has more standard that comes on the watch, but as for what is available? Sorry, but it isn’t even remotely close.
What are the odds Google drops this in a year and stops supporting it?
Hey — does it do open water swimming?
Hi! You do not get the Mickey Mouse face in Android, but you can get the PVZ face which is awesome! Greetings.
I’m gonna wait for a possible gen 2 Pixel watch. I never liked the the first generation of any tech cuz it’s just not as refined.
I’ve had the watch for 2 days now and can honestly say it’s the best android watch I’ve ever had. I’m coming from a Versa 3 and it’s not even comparable. The HR sensor is significantly better as well as the general functionality, fit, and style. As of right now, I highly recommend.
Bad battery of you want to track sleep and a stupid subscription pay wall for fit. No.
There’s really no way I’d choose this Pixel Watch over the GW5.
This Pixel Watch is an GW active 1 Gen 2 at $350 + $80 per year in 2022 🤦🏽♂️
The GW4 is easily found around $150 currently.
The only thing I would have liked to see on the GW5 is the rotating crown, the digital rotating bezel is not really optimal.
The Google Pixel watch is just a Fitbit
Can the watch be used without Fitbit app to track sleeping! ?
Terrible review from an Apple fan of an android watch. Why constantly refer to Apple Watch when this watch is not geared to people who have Apple Watch. It’s not an upgrade path as Apple Watch only works with iPhone. Why not compare it to the many android compatible watches out there? Then folks can gauge the benefits of a pure google watch.
Great watch but the battery is killing it for me.
You need a glas of water
future pixel watch wishlist
•smaller bezels
•improve battery
•get rid of the stupid fitbit paywall, its embarrassing.
•expand country availability, cmon you finally released the phones in sweden and not the watch?
Thanks for the review, great info.
I’m sticking with my Fitbit Sense
