WhatsApp has around 500 million users in India and the number of users for WhatsApp Business is growing rapidly. WhatsApp is aware of this and to improve the customer experience and support the growth of its business, WhatsApp is adding some new features to its business app. The instant messaging app is reportedly working to bring advertising features to business users of WhatsApp.
According to WABetaInfo, a website that closely follows WhatsApp’s upcoming features, the Meta-owned app will provide an in-app banner with a link for WhatsApp Business users that will help them promote their products on Facebook and Instagram and so more new things to introduce customers. The ads are redirected to their accounts by clicking on the WhatsApp link.
According to the report, some companies that have not yet linked their WhatsApp account to Facebook and Instagram and are using updated beta versions of the app have already started receiving a new in-app banner.

The new in-app banner gives WhatsApp Business users the ability to reach new customers by linking their accounts to Facebook or Instagram. After linking their accounts, businesses may be able to advertise on Facebook and Instagram, leveraging the platforms’ reach. People who see the ad on Facebook or Instagram can quickly start a WhatsApp chat with the company using the link shared in the ad. The feature also allows businesses to track their ads directly within WhatsApp.
WhatsApp recently released several updates to its app, including the ability to respond to statuses with exaggerated emojis, create links for group calls, increase the video call participant limit to 32, and community groups, among others.
