While there is no clarity on subscription fees for Twitter Blue Tick users, news is mounting that new Twitter boss Elon Musk will charge each individual user a subscription fee to keep him connected enable the use of the Twitter service.
According to reports from various media houses, Musk is considering charging “most or all Twitter users” a subscription fee to get access to the microblogging site.
Twitter has delayed the launch of its much-anticipated Blue subscription service with $8 verification tag after the US midterm elections.
Musk initially wanted employees to roll out verified Blue by November 7, “and threatened to fire them if they didn’t meet that deadline.”
The new Twitter Blue service offers fewer ads, search priority, the ability to post longer videos, and a blue badge.
Anyone can now get a verified tick by paying for Blue every month, which has raised serious concerns about how to tell real Twitter accounts from fake ones.
