Speaking to a gathering in Nanded, Maharashtra on Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi muted his microphone twice to demonstrate what is happening to opposition leaders in parliament. “We started this Bharat Jodo Yatra because the media may not be able to single us out. And look what happened to us in Parliament,” Rahul Gandhi said as he turned off his microphone.
Rahul Gandhi continued to speak with the microphone off and then when he switched on the microphone he said: “At least we are in control here. In Parliament, they just turn it off in 2 minutes. We keep watching. When you speak on note ban, microphone off. If you’re speaking in Chinese, mute the mic.” “You keep saying what you want. But no one will hear anything,” Rahul Gandhi said. As “ED-ED” slogans erupted from the audience, Rahul Gandhi said, “That’s it there, but no one is afraid of ED.”
Taking up the BJP government’s Agnipath program, he said: “You can serve the country for four years. After four years, you can no longer be a patriot. Go home after four years, mic off. This is Agniveer.”
“PM Modi says there was no Chinese invasion. Then what are the Indian side and the Chinese side talking about? There were 22 rounds of talks. This is the country’s situation. That’s why we eliminated the yatra,” said Rahul Gandhi.
Regarding investments from Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi said that these projects are given to two or three industrialists who are friends of the prime minister. “Ports, infrastructure, telecommunications, agriculture were given to these people,” Gandhi claimed.
“Don’t be afraid of anything. I’m not talking about Narendra Modi or RSS. i talk about everything And if you are not afraid of anything, you will never hate anything. This is my message to the youth of Nanded. Work for the country,” said Rahul Gandhi.
