So do they do anything with the chopped up fish and pork after these tests? Drop it on the grill and have a celebratory cookout? Or do they select targets that aren’t fit for consumption?
Can’t believe the outcome. Thomas blade rolled and didn’t chip. Plus his handle was more comfortable. Brent’s blade rolled and chipped. This was the worst decision ever. Thomas got robbed. However the blades were great.
Awesome episode. The edits with cutting the fish was a bit ridiculous though 😂
I know exactly what keeps happening to these contestants. I’ve had it happen to me when I was working outside or working out in an outside situation with friends and we were pushing ourselves hard. You can’t just drink water, you have to put electrolytes in your water whether it’s salt tablets or these newer little sachets of electrolyte powder you have to put some thing to put that back in your body when you’re sweating like crazy. And also you cannot underestimate how much you need to drink you have to just keep forcing yourself to drink on a cadence whether you’re thirsty or not. Eat something to possible like maybe some dried fruit or nuts. Anything you can hide in your pocket to keep your blood sugar from crashing.
Where does the meat go after the kill tests?
it’s unthinkable material to be forged.
I believe that’s the sharpest sword I’ve seen on this show?!?!?
GREAT COMPETITIONS! Excellent all the way through! Thank you! J
Definitely both swords were incredible but I’m surprised that Thomas didn’t win. In the past if a judge “dings you” for the shape of your handle—as Brent’s was after the strength test—that’s a guaranteed loss. Congratulations to both!
There IS a slow version of heavy metal: it’s called DOOM metal. I guess you can say Jerry was… doomed? Badum tsss. 😆
1st time watching this show. Its great! I have knives and now i have a greater appreciation for the craftsmanship put into these.
I disagree. That one handle was a slick as a marble. Thomas’ sword looked like something you would want to wield. Brent’s looked like a wall hanger.
Bad call.
in this episode we learn that Dave has the best musical taste outta em all! Truely a cultured man!
None of those judges knew what they were even talking about with ricks blade the “mild steel” was just the part of the steel that got sandwiched in between both pieces of metal and if you notice they don’t show Rick very much at all because he had finished a half hour before everyone else but didn’t show it because he wasn’t enough drama for the show if the judges knew what they were talking about he would of absolutely destroyed the competition and won the rest of those blades were just so bad especially the fact jerry didn’t even reach the Parameter of what the blade was supposed to be he should of been the one to go home first
BOO THOMAS HAD A BETTER HANDLE!
Bro the judges were outa control this episode 😂
17:20 “Rick, un’forge’unately that mild steel…”
El Cid is based on a real person. Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar. He fought against christians and Muslims during the period if the ” reconquest”, the Spanish struggle to reclaim their country from the Muslims invaders. El Cid fought in countless battles, as far as is known never loosing a challenge. Ii is said that more that once he ended a battle bathed in his enemies’ s blood up to the elbows.
Honestly I can’t believe that it went to Brent, they are both killer competitors and great smiths! I only really knocked Brent for the fish that didn’t get fully cut. Though that could have been a slice issue on Doug’s behalf. Either way I think that speaks volumes to the skillset of both of these guys and I would love to compete against them any day! It would be fun and educational!
So, the guy whose handle and cutting edge were better lost because the other sword looked better?
Why
i loved the judges confusion about why the cymbal was shooting sparks when it normally wouldnt.
YOOOOO MY TEACHER IS IN THERE!!!
Nobody going to talk about the actual minion on here?!😅 Great work by these smiths though! I love this show.
Overall, this episode was not fair at all
Bah, not pausing the clock and give the man the opportunity he deserves is not cool!
I really miss Will Willis on the show. Nothing against Grady P. He just doesn’t do it for me!
I feel bad for Jerry too
Dude is dressed like a minion
If Thomas had to compite in any other chapter he would win, definitely, amazing job and maybe the closest competition ever
Closest episode ever
22:40 that’s right.
He remembered Trump. Whatta Stud.
I very rarely disagree with these guys but that cowboy in the first round had skills and I can’t believe they let him go.
