We all know Siri is garbage

Hello from Ukraine. Nice video.
I remember when Siri was first announced a big part of the presentation is how it would remember context and be conversational; even though I enjoy Siri for a few key things that work consistently and are always faster than taking the manual steps, I would still love for them to execute on that original vision.
If Amazon lets Google sell its nest products in the marketplace, Google would be the best smart speaker-selling company.
I genuinely liked and miss Cortana for Android. 😥😭 She was so much better than Cortana for Windows 10.
it would be relevant to see how many languages assistants can support
I see your sweet child in the background 😂
Bixby’s Routines are 👌I’ve been trying to get my Pixel 7 to change the phone’s settings like I used to with my S22U (based on a scheduled routine), but it doesn’t work at all in the Pixel 7. These settings changes are changing the display brightness based on time of day, and turning on vibrate in the late afternoon, then Do Not Disturb as it gets later.
Google assistant is awesome.
Everyone knows Cortona is still the best. That’s why they didn’t even bother to include her in the testing. Microsoft stays winning.
Android phones are starting to look very similar from the front
Siri will be PERFECTED in due time.
I like how Bixby opens Google Maps when you asked where the Taj Mahal was. Siri throws a shortcut, I guess, to the Maps app, Google seems to just give you the result for “Taj Mahal” and Alexa throws in a text answer, which, as someone who hasn’t been to India, means absolutely nothing to me.
I’m really liking this very contextual informative type of video that you’re doing. Whilst having the test and the results are nice, this delivery of your thoughts into a summary is very refreshing! Thank you. 😊👍
Guess I am gonna switch to android soon!
The way I’ve always seen it:
Samsung — The most feature packed experience, offered both in a smartphone and through assistant-based interactions
Google — The most real-time intelligence offered in a smartphone, also complimented with the most consistent responses in an assistant
Apple — The cleanest, sleekest visual experience — offers minimalistic, fast answers without compromising readability time
Alexa — The most archival experience, capable of answering your questions thoroughly without the overdoing some of the more complex reactions
People still use these?
Great video as always. Have to disagree with this one though. As an iPhone user I think Siri is the worst, mainly because it’s failure rate and below average voice processing. Whereas Alexa has almost no default function for your iPhone. There is also no Amazon phone so its only third party. All of the other assistants run natively on their manufactures mobile operating system. 1st google, 2nd bixby, amazon 3rd because it does it’s limited functions well, and Siri last because shes horrendously inconsistent and has the largest producer and resources but performs the worst
8‑bit drip is the best name I’ve ever heard
Siri still sucks doing the easiest tasks
I use Siri because it’s faster with my slow home wifi when changing smart home devices. Specifically HomePod Mimi vs google home mini, changing the lights is so much slower on google assistant
What’s the next-gen matter standard?
Before watching the video I’m going to say Google Assistant by far. When I had an iPhone, Siri was fun for a day. When I got my Pixel with Google Assistant it was a game changer.
Google smokes everyone
bruh Bixby straightup gave wrong answer at 6:01 … and you gave it a green light
Google is very good in connected features and i do use it when i drive, and it works very well most of the time. But I don’t drive very much, and lack of device control on non-pixel phones means, Bixby is the one I use most.(to change screen off time, restart, etc).
Can you do this test with smart speakers. My kids always try to use our homepod, but the stupid thing just sends links to our phones and is almost unusable on its own.
Great vid! Happy holidays y’all
All of them are bad!
Clippy is just biding his time. Waiting for the right moment to make his big move.
basically samsung users have it best since we got both the best of the 4 , bixby for phone control and google for facts etc
I’m a little sad, considering that if you were to make this video a year or two ago, it would be nearly the same. There’s no real progress in the field, maybe some minor improvements in understanding your speech, but nothing major. I hope Google takes the punch in the gut that is ChatGPT and does something about it, seeing a relatively small company win a race against a mega-corporation with all the resources in the world is a little underwhelming.
My samsung s21 done this everything and why yours not 🤷♂️🤡
2:58 Even Siri says look what I GOOGLEed for you 😅
I use a lot of google minis in my home the thing that annoys me is the lack of consistency.. one day “Hey google, what is your volume” works perfectly. The next it doesn’t understand (even through the transcript shows the EXACT SAME phrase and the response prompts me to use the EXACT SAME PHASE if that is what I wanted.
Next year I’d like Android Auto vs Car play
I actually switched to Android for the voice assistant in the car; it’s where I use voice commands the most
“Bixby” LMFAOOOOOO
Can anyone see this comment ? Seriously. For a year no responses.
Merry Christmas Eve marques
Bixby is catching up really well
& Up’ed their game
It’s crazy how none come even close to Google Assistant 😂😂 If there is something Google is good at, would be knowing how you work.
Siri’s speech recognition has improved dramatically over the years, but Google still has the lead there. Siri is often completely useless with very basic queries, which is hard to imagine in 2022.
It’s crazy to me that Apple started the whole smart assistant battle with Siri but has let Google go so far ahead.
siri needs a major major overhaul
