Streaming in general is a mess rigged by Major labels… as an artist… I’m in a period of reflection about how to share my music…
I agree with how Apple Music suggests based on the first song you played. Spotify is better at that.
I will be interested to see if this Apple app knows that the term "classical music" refers to music composed during the classical period, 1750-1820, and not just music played by symphonies. I'm sure that, similarly, much other music that most people think of as classical will be included in this new Apple "classical" music streaming service–in chronological order medieval, Renaissance, baroque, classical and Romantic and 20th Century. It also occurs to me that ChatGPT would give afficionados of these types of music the ability to specify which orchestra, conductor, soloist, recording and so on they want to hear, so maybe someone at Apple can built an API to ChatGPT.
You don’t love Cannon in D?!? You monster! Lol
And I did catch you playing it again in the background at the end.
Bridget ♡
This was very enlightening. I was always wondering why they would make a separate app, but you broke it down succinctly and in a way I could understand. Thanks Bridget!
I do hope it’s released. I’ve always wanted to get into more classical. But that comes with the struggle of knowing who is who, when they were, what was made when, and how to find it! So here’s to apple hopefully doing good for the genre 🎉 I’ll be on the lookout.
This is such an excellent analysis of how difficult working with classical music is when it comes to AI. Thank you so much!
👌🏼
Love her energy!
Amazing ❤👌🏼
THANK YOUUUUUU!!!
Searching/scrolling classic music IS AWFUL.
As my business law professor once said, it's difficult to get yourself excited about stuff, and it's only interesting to others if you're interested.
As a classical musician I am deeply offended…jk I feel like she is reading my diary out loud.
I personally don't care for the Ridiculousness of her expressions in the beginning. But I do like her as a reviewer.
Still furious primphontic had to get shut down. 😑
Well thought outyou should post more!
Thank you so much for doing a segment about this. It’s a very much needed app for all of us who enjoy listening to classical music. Here’s hoping that Apple pulls through on this one!
Been waiting for that pay later thing
Thank you for breaking down what is different about classical music that prevents it from being rolled in to the regular App. I was wondering this myself.
« Let me know what you think in the comments bla-bla-bla » … I just think your awesome 💪🏻 and thank you for sharing!
This is gonna be a fun episode😍
Bridget, you are fantastic as usual
I came for the news, I left cracked up! Bridget is hilarious!
Agree 100%! I just keep listening to the classical music from my old CDs.
1:43 talks about Beethoven Sonata , plays Mozart's Turkish March
Here’s an idea: Announce products when they’re ready.
Thank you for the breakdown as the reason why Apple is creating another music app very insightful 😃
I listen to a lot of metal but I always ‘thumb down’ Christian metal when it’s recommended. It makes me worry that Apple will think I don’t like any metal in general. That’s still not as bad as Deezer though, which used to recommend artists just because they share the same NAME! So Norma Jean the metal band was being recommended along with Norma Jean the female country singer.
Bridget got so much hotter now that I know she listens to Classical music.
None of this will change my experience with Apple Music. I want Apple Music handoff across apple devices. Spotify is far ahead in this regard. So I hope Apple Music will catch up.
Bring the magnifying glass for every video please. 😂
Apple needs to kill Spotify
Portishead! Nice ears 👂 🔊 🎶
Apple should fix the music app first.
Compare to Spotify it’s a joke
Cause only super white people listening to that old crap. That’s one of the last genres they gonna update and change duh 😂
Qobuz
Roon
better services then every other provider.
Funny bashing Canon in D and then letting a remix of it close the video… :-/
GREAT TOPIC. Classical music suffers considerably under current streaming tech. My biggest beef with streaming is the lack of availability of album credits – the entire CD sleeve for that matter.
Just a bit too much of the crazy-eyed Bridget lately…
Insightful and delivered with panache and humor! Bravo! Encore!! Zugabe!!! 👏🏼🔎
I just subscribed to Cnet and this was my first Bridget Carey video. Now I am a fan! Terrific job. Entertaining and informative.
Wow this explanation was genuinely good, thank you Bridget
Thank you for this analysis.
