Fortunately human will never build a decent battery for robots to rule the world…
Bla bla NASA, but forgets to mention LOCKHEED MARTIN.
Terminator info needed anyone?
So are we just counting down the months and years before the wealthy elite Starr gradually taking human jobs out of human minds and bodies? What are people so giddy about that? Are we just that nerdy, oblivious and hateful of blue and eventually white collar jobs being lost to ai and robots?
People act like this is soooo cool, the idiocy is unbelievable.
Instead of going to help the environment and curing diseases and disabilities, you guys are ecstatic about being replaceable by metal and chips.
Disgusting
Do you wanna develop an app?
Even though the end goal is noble, it doesn’t yet make any sense to try to create a general purpose humanoid robot : the technological pieces to achieve that are not there yet.
However, remotely controlled humanoid robots makes much more sense : they could be somewhat autonomous for some tasks, and would benefit from the help of human conciousness when needed.
That the way Waymo is doing their autonomous robotaxi : time to time, some remote human intervention to take decisions when the robotaxi doesn’t know what to do
Robots and probes are what we need to send for space exploration not humans.
That’s not walking. That’s marching. And not a good use of energy.
If it cleans my house, I’m sold
Why doesnt NASA collabarate with Boston Dynmamics for that ?
Wow, if this was done in 4 months than Tesla’s Optimus robot looks like crap.
Loving all the innovation in the humanoid robotics world lately. But they need to price this at around $10,000 to make it for a while for the masses.
Are they going to add GPT3 / GPT4 or some other LLM into the robot?
it’s crazy how far ahead boston dynamics are in this field
2:50 they used a valve index to control the robot lol. Now the only people that can use it are gamers with taste.
Boston Dynamics is way ahead.
LOL at NASA. Tesla already got beat ’em with their spandex robot, and that thing can dance.
Still haven’t matched human gait yet though
Legs are like stepping in place but not heel and toe walking, or marching
i wanna see the Westworld become true soon
I’ve seen the ARTEMIS robots in person down at NASA’s Houston center. That thing is way more versatile than this.
Under a hundred thousand US Dollars !?
Then again, only the rich people will be able to buy one.
Tesla Optimus hopefully will be much cheaper as Elon Musk said.
Time will tell who is going to be more affordable and which robot is more capable of doing tasks in households, factories, restaurants, etc.
Ah yes….money well spent because of course humanity needs this! OR maybe money can be spent on more important world problems.
why is the robot using vans?
Hack to eliminate human 😮🤫
