Five hundred years before the Inca, a remarkable band of warriors called the Chachapoya built the greatest stone monument in the Americas. It’s three times the size of Egypt’s largest pyramid, in Season 4, Episode 1, “Mummies of the Clouds.”

Who is this guy
The Grizzly talkers I think the chachapouiya were called by how though
If you really look at it it’s a shame these people do this to these people’s remains how would they like that to happen to their ancestors true definition of grave robbers they should be cursed
Hope the looters don’t see your video
Suerte
Funny how ({(History)}) shows the chachapoya (aka the cloud people) as brown, even though ALL of their DNA tested back as Caucasian. Even though ALL of their statues are white with blue eyes. Even though their mummies are either blonde or red haired. Even though the Incas themselves state that the chachapoya were WHITE.
History is a shill organization. You’re a joke.
I hate this show. It’s all about the guy, and not about the history.
This is an incredible video, so amazing. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. Love the history.
What happened to Josh?
Hard to take someone serious once they claim the Inca built Megalithic Structures.

The dead do talk
I thought the cloud people where different from the other amerindians? I thought they where fair skinned with light eye’s and hair not the red amerindian.
Love when History does history!
Peru looks so beautiful! I hope that someday I will get to see those pristine mountain peaks.
Great video yet again, thanks!
lmao, nice movie magic. someone just threw the rock by hand at the pot since the host guy was never going to hit it.
Looters?! Way up there?! Just. Wow. Humans have no respect for anything.
How did they get to the tombs with people bodies in tow ?
Fantastic episode! Thank you.
Thank you
Those ancient warriors that built sacsayhuaman and puma punku were the fallen ones! The nephelim of the bible, they disappeared under the waves of the great flood that was recorded by every ancient culture on the planet
On one hand I disliked seeing the mummies being unwrapped as I imagine the fetal position is birth into the next world. On the other hand I understand the scientific curiosity.
Uhhhh who tf is this I miss josh
bring the other dude back for digging for the truth.
This guy is so boring I can’t watch it.
Wow this guy is a terrible actor where did they find him they need to put him back
How were these ppl spread so far apart? And how the heck did they get up those cliffs?
If you pause it at exactly 18:04, you can see a clear line of something recently poured or dripped onto that mummy that lady had. Not only that but it looks like some writing in black on parts. Like the clear letter “K” on the mummy’s chin, or shall I say on “Juanita’s” chin, as well as something on her back and faintly across her forehead and forearm. I’ve never seen a mummy in that pose and it’s kind of terrifying. The extent one went through to pose it in this particular state is very intriguing. The teeth are so well preserved and look actually well taken care of which tells me they took pride in hygiene etc. Why didn’t anyone say anything about the mummy lol? It was also very disrespectful how the cameraman did a selfie pose with it. regardless of the age of the sarcophagus, one should always have respect for the dead. More so in a situation like this. Someone should buy the mummy from the lady and take it to a museum to research it. Or maybe some laws state she has to relinquish artifacts of old etc. I’m so intrigued by this mummy out of the whole show lol. So many questions
The Production Style is so overly anxious, I can’t handle these.
Why do they do that, it is unattractive and unappealing?
There is profound ignorance in this video. Hunter claims that the Chachapoya didn’t have rope and therefore we don’t know how they could scale the cliffs to bury the dead. Reality…the ancient Peruvians were masterful rope makers. Rope was a specialty. Quipu? The Inca used rope for writing…because they were masterful rope makers and the Inca trails definitely made their way through this area.
Also, Machu Picchu is older than the Inca culture. Much older. The Inca built on top of the structures they found there, and they used Inca style stonework which is simple and with smaller stones. It is why you see huge, perfectly hewn stonework and the foundation, and little stones on top of them. The big stuff came first, and much earlier.
There are hundreds of sites in Peru and Bolivia that are just mind-blowing in creativity and skill. It is really hard to understand, made even worse by these hack-job documentaries that spread non-facts from a position of authority.
“We dont know how they scaled these cliffs because they didnt have rope!.…”.…finds mummies tied up with rope. Ughhh…
Wounder what they will assume when they dig us up how will they quantify blue hair piercings and tattoos. Getting cremated is a great way to prevent being desicrated after death
Better with Bernstein imo.
Make you wonder just how they built there in the first place and why. They must have been pretty motivated. But I also wonder just when an archeologist becomes a grave robber, let alone a ratings driven tv show.
Why do we constantly disrupt the dead. Leave them in peace.
Who tf is this where’s Josh? This new host sucks!
Ring around the Rosie’s pockets, fools of Joey’s administration demented Nonsense of (them) pronouns that wear white and red hats (workers), DEMOCRATS LIBERALS DON’T CARE FOR WHOMEVER DIDN’T VOTE FOR THIS PERVERTED VIEWS OF THIS FOOLISH ADMINISTRATION⚖️🇺🇸
DEAREST GOD’ DELIVER US FROM EVIL CEO BILLIONAIRES. Have Mercy On Us All In Christ Jesus Almighty Name I Pray AMEN
Where my boy Josh at..🤦🏾♂️
Yes we can see him or her thank you Robert
You could see some kind of primitive ropes with the mummies on the cliff under the cave they were in first. Man they had some guts to be up there doing that back in their time.
There was genetic testing of the chachapoya, the were a blond and red headed population. It is now know these genes entered this populayion in about 600 BC and also has many characyeristics of the celtic (NW Spain) and phoenician civilizations
Great episode
I prefer to hear more about the subject and less about the host’s trek.
