And people wonder why the rest of the world hates America
Imagine if the world was still like this no technology just log cabins you had to work for food and water people in todays world don’t realize how easy we have it now just think if the world just changed back into this all of a sudden almost everyone would be dead people rely so much on technology and history is going away people are forgetting what this country was fought for
Somebody argue this with me. If you worship creation instead of the creator
Your hair and eyes and skin become black.
Of course they leave out the Seminole Wars and other battles fought with native tribes that not only drove public sentiment to support such a harsh action but also drove Jackson’s ideologies on the issue. For many tribes, they made their bed and laid in it.…. An unfortunate victim of being the losers in history like many people before and after them.
You would think that the History Channel would take more time and due diligence to associate the right ethnicity with the right individual. They have stolen all the history, do your own research. Read the old books, everything’s different than what they say.
It should be noted that Andrew Jackson was a Democrat and Davy Crockett belonged to the conservative Whig Party.
This is not a popular opinion, but it’s my opinion, so.… Andrew Jackson is in my top 5 favorite presidents of all time!!! There’s allot of things I like about him. But the 2 main things is his time fighting down in Mississippi and New Orleans Louisiana I find fascinating and then his dual that he had with a man, over him insulting Jackson’s wife I also find fascinating..
My top 5, in this order!!
1. George Washington
2. James K. Polk
3. Andrew Jackson
4. Donald Trump
5. Abraham Lincoln
Sturgis is patently Anti-American and symbolic of the ingrates that populate this country WHO would have NEVER lifted a finger for this great country, but leech off of it…
It’s the D‑bag from NPR
No the Louisanna purchase was not an unknown entity at all. The pacific had been reached by McKenzie in 1798.. French trappers were trading with first the blackfeet and then the salish tribes in the 1740’s.. fully 65 years before Lewis and Clark ever got there. The americans were sent on the lewis and clark expedition to establish the U.S. claim to the west coast and everything in between.

Great series. I can’t help but wonder why traveling through an unknown wilderness, is such a big deal. Plenty of people were already living in that wilderness.
That doesn’t even look remotely close to Andrew Jackson
Why is tecumseh portrayed as young and Harrison old when tecumseh was 5 years older
I cannot understand why Daniel Boone didn’t tell Blackfish that the Brit’s wouldn’t do as promised but turn on them just like they did the colonists which was why they were fighting the Brit’s!
That woman explains history like a second grader in trouble…. Lol it’s all the evil white mens fault!
I used to respect him, now I have learned he was another monster like hitler or stalin! Imagine if the indians banded together, made a deal with the Americans where they get what is now Montana,Dakotas, Minnesota, alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario and make their own country and live their way, still allow tourist and allow people to become citizens like any other county. Or they get all of canada would have been nice!
A king for a king, a tyrant for a tyrant, an empire for an empire.
And thus it collapses.
It’s kind of refreshing to learn that even crocket had given up in from of minor political backlash. Gives me hope for the future. Still a coward but good to know a looser can become something.
Good series. Crumby theme music.
I want to be a character so bad!! 😂
Imagine if all the tribes united early on in the 1600’s when the settlers were first arriving from England and other parts of Europe. All the East Coast tribes if United it would of been a lot harder for settlements to survive, history could be very different but maybe at the end of day this was inevitable given disease, technology advantage the European settlers had
Brig. Gen. Stand Watie (CSA) principal Chief Native American Slave ownership Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek, Seminole “Five Dollar Indian”
1948 Nakba where over 700,000 Palestinians were forced from the homes.
Andrew Jackson really was one of the most psychotic people to ever have power in the US. Just one of the most savage, cruel, twisted guys to be in charge.
Stop calling it ethnic cleansing. It was relocation. Im not saying it was right but it is far from ethnic cleansing. The anti white woke bs is clear in this. USA didnt mass murder just because they were indians. They relocated.
Andrew Jackson burned children alive, stole native land, then sold that land to be farmed by slaves. I always hated the man, but holy cow, he really was a monster.
Santa Anna wanted to take weapons ? Sounds like the same thing Obama, Biden wants to do as well .
This is sad 😢 & shameful.
32.50 What about ruthless massacre of White Settlers ?
Indian massacre would not of happened if Indians hadn’t 1st massacred Whites.
52 Thomas Sowell says the opposite. It’s proven slavery makes the region poor not rich.
So Jackson adopted Indian baby to raise as his own, yet
Left are a bunch of bullies in very decade. Left is absolute disgrace to USA in every single Era of USA history.
Tecumseh is a hero to many Natives, like me. His attempt to unite many Tribes to fight for our right to simply exist remains the last, best hope we had to save our lives.
Andrew Jackson was the most despicable person. His 1830 Indian Removal Act was vile and led to the deaths of so many Natives from the southeast. Even his former supporter, Davy Crockett. Crockett recognized the destruction and death that would follow in its wake.
I despise Jackson so much that I try to exchange a US $20 for two $10s. I don’t want to see how face, if possible.
The death of Tecumseh is the fault of his British allies more than Harrison and his troops.
The ironic thing about Jackson is that a Cherokee fighting on his side saved his life! And yet another Native learns of Jackson’s betrayal.
TIL, David Crockett was a congressman. Had no idea.
This show charterizes the brutality of how they slaughtered the Indians without thinking twice, for land!!! At least some men (Davie and some of his followers) thought it was wrong. This country has too much blood on its hands and we continue to add to our infamous legacy. We can do better America and we should!
Anyone who says American patriotism I hope you are ashamed that your offspring killed the true Americans and now they are forgotten!!!! The real invaders do not deserve this land!!
This episode shows that it is made by whites, he says Americans and Indians will not be the right thing to say, Native Americans and white invaders, I think it is the right thing to do.
Real nice of History Channel to provide these series’ for free.
Why didn’t they show in detail, the 500 Americans, families and babies slaughtered by the natives before the battle they were defeated in?? Paybacks a b****.…
Why they never talk about Simon kenton
The Greatest warrior of the Native Americans and a true hero, he had the qualities of a sage and a warrior (he showed mercy to captured enemies, banned scalping amongst his warriors, and fought for the spiritual and political revival of the Native Americans). He was respected even by his enemies, with the American Government viewing him as the greatest threat to the dominance & mission of the United States’ Doctrine of Manifest Destiny.
“In 1814 we took a little trip along with colonel Jackson down the mighty mississip. We took a little bacon and we took a little beans and we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans…”
Simon Kent, anyone! Smh
🌈
I’d like to see a show about the settlement of east Tennessee and Nashville area. I know there was many battles and lots of history including a multi settlement coordinated by chief dragging canoe, they called him the dragon!
