One thing you didn’t mention about heating issues other then that nice review. Subscribed this channel.
Should you have compared the s23 with the pixel 7 standard instead of a pro? For camera comparaison they’re more head to head I think instead of the pro.
killed my battery 1 and half day
1k for a phone? Yakkkk. 2–300 bucks is all you need be smart buyer
I got the s23 256.. so far it’s very good. Fast, smooth and the battery is good 👍
I wish they gave qhd on atleast the plus model
I have the S23 Ultra and I’m blown away by the battery, finally an Android phone where I don’t have to worry about finding a charger by the end of the day! I’m glad the improved battery management trickled down to the S23 and S23+!
S23 to S22 comparison is less important because no one with S22 would be looking to upgrade to the S23.
3% battery life improvement for s23+ on YouTube test. Wow that’s insane
Finally paid off my s20 ultra. Think I’m done upgrading phones for a long while. Improvements just don’t seem significant anymore.
👍👍👍👍
TLDR: don’t get it if you’re coming from S22. Consider it if coming from s21 or older. Otherwise, wait for next iteration.
9.47 minutes per 1% of battery drainage that’s awesome 👌 anyways very detailed review love from India 🇮🇳
Honestly, phone companies should release the phones every 3 years.
Although i loved my s22, the s23 has been even better with efficiency and battery life. The light mode can make it so efficient it’s ridiculous. I got 8 hours sot on my last charge using 120 hz n standard mode. When i tried light mode with 60 hz, i got 37 hours on a single charge. 7 hours sot and 30 hours of standby. The battery efficiency alone is worth the upgrade, it’s been that good out of the box.
Only thing wrong with the s22 lineup is battery life. This should be the ONLY reason to upgrade. Charging speed is not an issue for me. It charged fast enough. Any faster will heat up and degrade the battery faster. So no big deal.
I’m getting 8 to 9.5 hours of SOT with my base S23 on 5G and 120hz (light performance mode after 50%). My S22 was dead in 3 to 4 hours of SOT, it was total trash. I won’t be upgrading for a while.
Phone companies should stop launching phones every year. Average consumer makes a switch every two or three years, plus there is not much of an innovation left to bring out a phone every year. Better processor and little improvement in camera is not the reason left to switch ur phone every year. Last generation phones gets better with software update. I have s22 plus which is getting better with every software updates.
The Pixel Pro doesn´t feel premium or sleek. It looks geeky.
Good review, I understand the focus on the USA market but Pixel’s can’t even use the 5G in markets they haven’t official sales ( and you know, there are many many many countries). Also, the ECG win a lock when Google detected the region of your account if haven’t Google Pixel official sales so you can’t use this function. It is a silly software lock without a good reason, because you give your money to Google, doesn’t matter where you live. But surprisingly we can make the FitBit signature to use in a Pixel Watch around the world 🤷🏼♂️ funny thing.
That’s put in perspective, globally Samsung lineup makes much more sense, maybe that’s one of the reasons they are the number 1⁰ brand in smartphone sales.
I don’t believe anyone choses a phone on how good the camera is.
Happy Ash Wednesday, CNET
Great review! I had S22 and intended to keep it but my carrier contract was due for renewal. With the preorder benefits, I sent back my s22 a had to pay just 100 USD to get the s23. Great deal 🙂
And I am very happy, especially with the battery (I’ve been using the phone for more than a week now). I can tell the phone lasts longer in every situation. I had to change my charging routine just because I don’t need to charge the s23 that often. The performance is top-notch as well. Selfie camera is better too, especially in video calls.
In conclusion — the s23 is what the s22 should have been in the first place 🙂
I understand focusing on the camera and battery life for the new phones. But seeing that those are slight increments, I wish there was more focus on the golden nugget changes, like how does Samsung call screen work?
the s22 looks better, more unique
As long as the battery wont bloat/expand, its is a improvement.
I’ll wait for them to drop it to $700, i can buy OnePlus 11 with better spec for less but I want this phone for its flat screen bazeless look. I hate OnePlus for shoving curve screen at our face knowing we don’t want it.
Today i saw s23 ultra . S22 PLUS CAMERA IS MUCH BRIGHTER
The S23 an charge at 80 watts.
du vergleichst s23 mit pixel7 Pro ????? 🤣🤣 teste 23Ultra vs pixel 7 pro!!!!
the s23’s camera is so washed out!! look at those colorless pictures and selfies😭😭
Don’t think the carriers are giving these phones away. My carrier is adding an extra $400 on top than if buying out right from Samsung.
Nice & great unbias photos samples comparisons between the S23/S23+ & other flagship phones, alongside with unbias recommendations, props to Mrs. Lisa of CNET..
Minor difference from last year, not worth upgrading. Real reason for upgrade would be upcoming satelite SMS via Snapdragon CPU and app, everything else does´nt matter.
