Sonos is launching two new speakers at the same time. The Era 300 is designed for spatial audio and fires sound in multiple directions. The Era 100 improves upon the Sonos One with stereo audio and better bass. Both include Bluetooth and USB‑C line-in so you can easily play music from other devices or plug in a turntable. #Audio #Technology #Sonos

What do you think the Era 300 looks like? VR headset for me ‑Chris
Why would anyone buy one before chatGPT is included?
Spatial Audio is definitely going to get better over time and looking forward to see how it grows
Any confirmation if the line in could work as computer speakers? I.e video sync? have to use a beam today.
for me, sonos is the new and better logitech, speaker wise
Thorough, liked the q+a
Why can’t anyone in this video actually look at the camera?
The guy in this video is having trouble talking while looking into the camera unfortunately
Those are some unsatisfying answers from Sonos. Also I wish you had asked about using a Beam as a center + 2 stereo sonos speakers, this gets requested a lot as well.
Paying 900$ for rears when you only have a single Arc under the TV makes no sense. I would rather have a Beam as a center + 2x era 300s in front and 2x era 100s in the back
The line in is a very useful addition
Re:
Future proofing. 20 years? Lol. I have two pairs of excellent speakers both older than that. My bet is they sound better (in stereo) than Sonos speakers.
Stoked about the line in capability! Will this be able to stream to other sonos speakers/airplay2 etc?
The “spacial audio is the future” has real “quadrophonic sound is the future” vibe (quadrophonic sound was promoted as the next big thing in the 70s but… wasn’t)
1:45 exactly why I hate tech these days. No innovation, just words. What do you mean “figure out a way to give them that choice” … you idiots purposefully didn’t install it lmao just include it in the hardware!! As if some magical engineering needed to take place.
Giles Martin is song of George Martin producer for 12 out of the 13 Beatles albums. He’s also responsible for all of the recents Beatles remixes
If had $400 lying around thisis definitely what I would drop it on.
These speakers, also the Homepods and other Smart Speakers, are not made to last. These products are going to break with software “updates”. Just look at their “Recycle Mode”. If you want a great sound stage which will last more than 5–10 years, stick to a classic home theater system.
