I don't think it's fake otherwise how this lens can recognize far objects and most of the time when it's come to text recognition from far away.
please do a more in-depth test, it looks like the findings of that reddit user are not easy to replicate. In fact, they may have doctored their findings.
Why not try it on other objects? like golf balls. I for one would love to see it. Also, as you have said many pictures (and videos or any digital product for public consumption) are edited to look better. This is just Samsung way to edit the pic for us.
Every photo is processed in some way. Jpeg out of an DSLR is the manufacturer interpretation of the raw data. If you shoot raw, the software you use interprets the raw data and you can change it. Analogue photos are manipulated depending on the film you choose (bw, color, iso etc). A photo is a story the photographer wants to tell.
Good points. And I think the bigger question is, at what point are we calling a photo fake? Like, what is the threshold? If it's okay to make the colors look more vivid is that not fakery as well? Why is that okay but moon replacement is not?
Ok I’m convinced you have one dedicated person to do your alliterations at the end of every video
But more importan….what is a woman?..
It’s simply fake and they want to bash him for it and he’s caving that why he needed to make a video to save his ass. Well, we already knew. Everything is fake these days. Don’t k!ll yourself for them. It’s a fake generation
Suck it Samsung users!
You said software is more important than hardware but that's kinda cap 🧢, because hardware provides the data to AI and 200mp is A LOT more DATA.
So… it's fake.
Nice video. I wonder if you can get a better REAL photo by attaching a super-magnifying camera lens to the phone?
I think what is most important is having this knowledge. It helps us better understand what our phone cameras are capable of doing and what they are not. AI is going to change things even more in the future and having the ability to turn this feature off is good.
Lol I mean this has been a thing for a long time. Every phone is using AI to enhance image, just look at pixel cameras. This feels more like a hit piece by Marques. Shame on you.
So, in 30 seconds, Marques admitted that he does videos with same title, but changes the whole idea, for Apple, it's innovation, for Samsung/Android, it's about issues! AMAZING!
4:36 nailed it how Samsung is fake 😂😂
I'll explain it in simple English, MKBHD is making it sound complicated.
1. Every phone uses A.I magic to their phones photo/video unless you turn the setting off.
2.The moon your seeing is not gonna be the same Moon picture everytime, if your taking a picture of the moon from difference parts of the world the crators and other details will be in a different area, the a.i will notice this so your moon will look slightly different.
3. No the moon picture is not fake, it's using A.I to enhance or edit the picture for you so you get a clear photo.
4. If you wanna talk about fake, google Huawei method of taking pictures of the moon. Instead of enhancing the details of the moon, it would use an overlay or taking details out of nowhere to make the moon look like a real moon.
I thought this was a well known fact? It was kinda obvious that a phone can't take a photo of the moon
What I'm interested in is if it falsely recognizes a white small light (like a flashlight from far away) as the moon, and then actually fakes details into the image that obviously couldn't have been there
As Saf from Supersaf said.. why are people so obsessed with taking moon shots? Just download an image of the internet and u get the same image… Just a much better version 😅..
Regarding this moon shot mode, well.. the photo manipulation for enhancing an image that we capture is mostly justified because we would like great images of the things we wish to capture.. a person, a scenery, a pet, etc.. however.. Samsung uses the moon shot mode to flex what it's 100x zoom can do.. which is kinda false advertising cuz it's not the zoom or the lens.. it's just AI..
It's not fakery, it's an AI algorithm processing the image.
This ending of this reminds me of v-sauce and I'm fine with that.
Am I the only one who hasn't even bothered with a moonshot? I have yet to see a camera Pic that has awed me since my n8, that is, accounting for years of camera improvement. Most photos are designed to look good on your phone, and look strange on a monitor. But yes the flexibility to just jump to a 10x optical zoom is really handy. I'm more irritated by the charging speeds and the s pen placement
hoe really care?
5:17 what is happening with MKBHD's iMac? did it crash? Edit: looks like maybe a text screensaver 🙂
Since when adjusting photos is fake, in this case night mode should be considered as fake, coz it shows you unreally detailed images, when you cant see a sh*t 😀
One could argue that every video on YouTube is also manipulated by color correction and editing. So we are basically living in a distorted world.
Damn it!!! I just want photons hit electrons and make heavily compressed jpeg in way God intended it to be! Leave this AI heresy to yourself, Samsung!!!
Niceee!!!

I have a strange request I have a Samsung a52 and my model specifically states that it's 4g model yet I am picking up 5g wifi how is this possible does this mean Samsung makes them all 5g models but limits them to 4g through software code because I am not supposed to be connecting to a 5g band and my wifi is 5g
Let's wait for a landing on the moon and see what Samsung's stupid 100x zoom does lmao
Moon mode magic what…. ,??? You're always mind blowing 🤯
It's actually became a standard now to get there super HDR look in photos , that's why sony phones don't get any recognition in camera department they don't do all that post processing..
On a full Moon, my phone went werewolf 😅
Samsung Knight 🌚… now I await the bots spamming comments
