About a Woman ? I doubt it — Usually in history Economic Gain was the REAL REASON — Just needed an excuse to give plausible deniability ? Greed ? 😏
If it’s from a animal it would be Venum not poison unless it’s a frog
I really enjoy listening and reading about the Greek myths and l’m Troy and the trojan horse. And finding out more about the people from long ago
History Channel keeps re-uploading these videos so that they appear to be unwatched in our feed. I’ve seen this before but my “Like” wasn’t there and the “watched” indicator was not visible. It’s an old video that looks new.
SMH. She was for the streets. Fellas learn from the past.
That Hector vs Achilles fought tho…lmfao
Ah a show from before history sold out to pawnshops and aliens.
The most foolish so called history with no dates lol
The Fall of Troy
What the history channel should be about smh
The Greeks got real lucky if I saw a giant wooden horse outside my front gate left by the enemy I would make a burning offering to the gods 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah that’s cool that the helmet flexed and it wasn’t too highly damaging the problem being your skull does not flex and would have taken damage
interesting that the siege weapons used iron since i thought this was still the bronze age. Did they import the metal?
Troy did exist. King Priam is mentioned in the exodus.
You heard the lady, we can’t make swords anymore.
awesome!
These documentaries are really dumb. The Iliad, the homeric STORY, was exactly that, and it wasn’t written down till 500 years later. Around 700bc. The city of Troy, existed for over a millenia. It was destroyed around the time the story was set. But all the cities of Eastern Mediterranean area were as well. You can’t have a serious discussion of this history without mentioning the sea peoples and the collapse of the bronze age super powers.
People are stupid. Why would you praise these people for their ability to build amazing cities, ships, armor and weapons but then say they couldn’t count? It is so annoying hearing modern archeologists saying these battles couldn’t have been as big as recorded. They have NO idea and are constantly being proven wrong. I trust the records of people familiar much more then the idiots coming up with theory’s based on looking at rubble that has been raided, weathered and age to the point they can barely guess what was there.
I can guarantee you that those archers would be firing arrows further away than 10–20 yards, up close, sure arrows will pierce armor, 100–200 yards away, not so much.
🙂👍🏻
As a fan of the movie Troy, this speaks to me.
What’s this garbage? I tune into the history channel to get some quality ancient alien content and wind up with the siege of Troy
male wars with each other neded some excuses for their inflated egoes , Helen must be one of those excuses thats all. it gives myth a romance and something ethereal rather then looting plundering each other’s resources, territories the real reason of all wars
this horse seems to laughing with all teeth shown:)
23 minutes in; I love how he makes an assumption about its piercing capabilities instead of just stepping back 30 feet and trying again.
After 10 years give Helen back, she’s done hit the wall.
Lots of revisionist history here
This documentary didn’t want to mention that Troy is in today’s Turkey. The Hollywood Troy horse is actually donated to the he beach town square for tourist attractions. To reach there, take a long bus journey from Istanbul, the last part of the bus ride was put into a ferry and eventually arrived at Kanakkali.
My hostel was not fair from the beach, sobits walking distance to the Hollywood ‘s Troy horse 😊.it was stunning during sunset 😻
The Trojan Horse, Burned Up, With Troy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1+1, Still Equals, 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Read!!
The Bible is true and far superior to Greek Mythology.Proving the Bible is true is scientific accuracy like round Earth and the hydrologic cycle and jet streams and much more!
Did the Egyptians, phoenicians, Hebrews, etc also tried to conquer troy?
Was troy a city or a region in western turkey, “since the greeks could not conquer troy, they raided other nearby cities and villages”, iliad?
Troy was an international hotspot of commerce and a much more happening place than dull old Sparta with its grumpy old king. No wonder Helen bailed with a prince from there..and doubtless she blamed Menelaus for making her do it, I’m sure that it wasn’t her fault at all…
