Victim/Suspect chronicles journalist Rae de Leon’s investigation into a shocking nationwide pattern: Young women tell the police they’ve been sexually assaulted, but instead of finding justice, they’re charged with the crime of making a false report, arrested, and even imprisoned by the system they believed would protect them.

This is beyond important… “Sometimes the justice system is not made for everybody.”
ACAB.
As a victim myself, one involved a three day kidnapping and severe beating, I think it’s about time someone did a film about women who are NOT believed and are seriously screwed over in the process.
My own experiences happened in Italy, where the cops were great and took everything very seriously.
Actually, it’s been 3 times for me, but the first one was in 1972, when I was 15 years old. Living in a big city in the Deep South that’s well-known for its heavy drinking culture, I didn’t dream of reporting it. Who, especially in the South, would’ve believed a 15 year old back then? I’ve carried the anger with me ever since.
These women deserve much more than just “justice”!!!! Looking forward to seeing this.

This series reminds me of or is basically similar to “unbelievable” series from Netflix.
Hi Netflix plz add vr mode
Plz add vr mode
Who cares
Yeah well i have no sympathy for false accusers as its happened to myself. While many women who report sexual assaults are telling the truth many are not.
“sometimes…” SOMETIMES?!
Most of the time The perpetrator has links and connection to politicians, police and judiciary system. And the victim were abuse by police like you see here and many other documentaries..if these cops police judges politicians are not punished it will continue to happen
I didn’t hear ANYTHING about hiring a lawyer. Didnt anyone go to court over this? Didn’t anyone create a rape kit with a doctor?? I know even if they did, those kits can take forever to be processed.

Why about a documentary about all the innocent men who are in jail for accused rape they didn’t commit?
need season 2 of rise of tmnt and the rest of 2012 seasons added to netflix
Hiding comments on some video’s, proves you are weak and devious.
Since you turned off you comment on Cleopatra’s trailer, here’s what I want say.
African and African American have their own great history that is worth telling, but as expected from the Hollywood mindset of ignoring facts and appropriating history, first they whitewashed history, now they blackwashing it to cover their racism.
When will you know that categorizing people according to colors was originally made by you, here we don’t care about skin tone like they do (most of us).
And blackwashing is actually offensive to African American if you asked me, cause the need to steal other people culture only means that they don’t have one of their own! Which is NOT true, Africans have a great history and many more civilizations and stories that haven’t been told.
Too many great “original” stories are worth telling, ever wonder why they never tell those???
i need a ratio: ‘cough lying they being rape’ vs ‘mistake the officer make on that same type of a case’
if data shows more people are lying about they being rape THAN officer did few mistake there is chance they are not purposely accuse.
I’ve known men who were put in prison for years behind false 🐊s
Looks terrible
One word, Propaganda.
I wonder how much this will mention about the cases where women have LIED about being sexually assaulted, and NOT EVEN getting charged for the false reporting…

Just more evidence that males in power will continue to abuse women even after they were abused, to cover up for their despicable cronies. Other despicable males!
