Appreciate this phone but the hinderance as it currently stands as it doesn’t release in the U.S till later in the year if rumors I read are true and OS updates are still the same like previous Xperia phones.
I have the 2nd generation and still love it
wow❤❤❤😮😮😮
👍🏽

It won’t sell well.
I like this smartphone
Sony lost the plot ages ago in their phone category. But they keep making them, which means there’s people out there actually buying them.😮
Does the display support variable refresh rate on this generation?
This is extremely impressive for Sony. It is clear that Sony is now truly leading the way and changing the smartphone photography and videography landscape 👏
This phone is the bestest in the market now.…far better than any iPhone or samsung or Google or OnePlus.…love this phone.…iconic
I really don’t like their design. If only they’d follow the mainstream designs, it would’ve sold like hot cake.
Too bad Sony removed LED notification light
I’m not sure if it’s a thing in one of the camera apps to not do HDR but clipped highlights should not really be a thing these days on any phone camera.. unless you’re in pro mode.
The ONLY thing left Sony got to fix is their Update Policy. 2 years of Android Updates for a 1400€ phone is still pathetic. The rest of the phone is so good, it would be a shame if the bad update support would remain the only deal breaker.
I was hoping for more info on its HDMI port and how the software works when streaming with a 2nd camera input and how it works with Twitch or Facebook live for instance.
I’m Xperia user since Xperia Z1 and I currently have 5 ii. What I don’t like is that at night when you take a picture in auto mode, it takes like 3 secs for the phone to take the photo. If you are running for example the image will be blurred! Does anyone know any tip of sth to fix that?
Best phone in the world is back!
It’s about time Sony added their Night Mode features. Hope they fixed the overheating problems, other than that, I’m sold!
Guys please buy this phone, we need more of these to be made 🙏
This Sony mobile is made Japan or Malaysia?
Less feature to launch this
Still yet Xperia 1 IV is Best Phone
1 V is Simmilar And Downgrade Phone
Not Upgrade Anything
still love the design
Very brief review by your standards guys, I’d have liked to have seen the zoom capabilities, nonetheless, thanks for the video.
with the affordable price of 1200 EUR…
Каква ще му е цената в България?
Glad to see xperia series waiting Ericsson series 👍🙏
Gonna wait and see. Waiting for other honest review
T sensor only for the main camera!
The zoom is worthless again
Does it support dual SIM? Or just Micro SD card?
I’m glad the phone has a 21:9 aspect ratio, I wish most phones were 21:9 as an option. I have the sony xperia 1 iv but it over heats but has better battery life than my sony xperia 1 iii even though both phones overheat but the mobile hotspot stopped working once I did any update on the sony xperia 1 iii and the battery drains faster with the software update and it even made the phone lag even with the 120 hz enabled. It’s to be expected since it’s part of planned obsolescence with all smartphones in order to sell a new phone every year which really sucks and annoying.
Please do the comparison between Sony Xperia 1 V and iPhone 14 Pro Max
As an IV user, I have to say that the part which annoys me the most (that no-one mentions btw) is it has the worst flash/torch of any modern device at basically any price. It’s about on par with the iPhone 4. Disappointing to see that it appears to be exactly the same on the new one…
body frame remind me of iPhone 4 series
I’ve been holding off Sony’s 2021 and 2022 flagship phone because of the thermal-inefficient SoC. Now that Qualcomm finally got things right again with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 alongside Sony themselves giving bigger heat dissipation, this is definitely my next phone.
no SATCOM?
but that design needs a refresh..
Bro , they have Quietly Perfected the Xperia 1 V , looking forward to giving Sony access to my bank account ✅🤝
1400 euros for this lolllllllllllll
What?!!!!! Focus peaking and ui rotations added!!
Sony is serious now
Sony Xperia — never cease to amaze
Sony makes the kind of phones you want to have. Not because they’re the best in their class or because they have all the bells and whistles… They’re good phones and if you like Sony, you’ll love their phones 🙂 I upgraded from a 2014 Z3 to a 1 Mk. III last year and I couldn’t be happier with it 🙂
