Apple iPhone Air and iPhone Fold or prob­a­bly Apple iFold Pro Ultra?

Fold­ables are done not to dis­tin­guish from apple. Fold­ables are pro­duced coz they have a mar­ket and it makes sense as the next stage of evo­lu­tion from the slab based ones

I want things to go in the oppo­site direc­tion. Give me the SideKick/Hiptop form fac­tor. Love the swiv­el screen + phys­i­cal key­board. When touch­screen tech came out every­one per­ceived it as cool inno­v­a­tive tech. Every­thing had to be touch­screen. As the sheen has worn away, turns out peo­ple real­ly want phys­i­cal but­tons. In cars peo­ple don’t want a giant iPad on their dash. They want knobs to con­trol their vol­ume and air.

The iphone mini is much bet­ter then a clamshell phone. the only rea­son for a clamshell would be so that you can fit it into small­er pock­ets. The iphone mini does just that.

I would buy a book style fold­ing iPhone right away.

If apple made a fold­able that was no thick­er than an iPhone 14 pro max and fold­ed out to an iPad mini I would buy that. Clamshell is point­less and apple doesn’t real­ly do point­less. They also don’t like to can­ni­bal­ize their prod­uct lines. That’s why iPad doesn’t run MacOS prod­ucts. They want you to have an iPad and an iPhone and a Mac­Book. So will they make an iPhone/iPad hybrid. Maybe….probably not.

The only rea­son I am get­ting a fold­ing phone is I pre­fer a dual screen phone. My phone is cur­rent­ly not work­ing well, and I need some­thing with the same expe­ri­ence. I am forced to choose a fold­ing phone as there is no oth­er option that fits what I need for, most­ly work.

The biggest prob­lem for an iPhone ver­sion of the Galaxy and Pix­el fold con­cept is that it will kill the iPad mini for cer­tain. There’s no two ways about it. I think this is why Apple has made the move to put Final Cut Pro and Log­ic Pro on the iPad. They always need a dif­fer­en­tial fac­tor to keep peo­ple invest­ed in the iPad. But the trou­ble there is that it could detract from the Mac­book. Why go to the expense of a Mac­book when you can do major pro­duc­tiv­i­ty on an iPad? 

So, it makes sense that Apple will most like­ly cre­ate a iPhone Flip vari­ant, which will replace the iPhone S. It’ll be more of a fash­ion state­ment than some­thing more spec­i­fi­ca­tion ori­ent­ed, e.g. the cam­eras won’t be good as the iPhone stan­dards, but just about good enough for the fash­ion con­scious, brand loy­al, less demand­ing user. I can see that a fold­ing iPhone is a headache for the iOS pro­gram­mers. Apple suf­fers a great deal because it does not man­u­fac­ture. Sam­sung can do and achieve a lot more due to the fact that it man­u­fac­tures its own devices. Where­as with Apple, they’d have to get pro­to­types made up from a man­u­fac­tur­er, and then get into inte­grat­ing fold­able func­tion­al­i­ty in iOS, which will no doubt result in glitch­es. It’ll be fun to see! I am envi­sion­ing fias­co like Apple Maps when it was first launched where its fold­able iPhone is concerned.

It would be refresh­ing to have the option for a fold­ing iPhone for those who are tired of the same design we’ve had since 2017. All they have to do is add the mul­ti­task­ing fea­tures from the iPad and there you have it.

Im pret­ty sure the iphone 6 was the first fold­ing phone so apple does have a fold­ing phone but they dis­con­tin­ued it

Iv got noth­ing against apple mak­ing mon­ey off of its sim­ple over­priced prod­ucts because they found their tar­get mar­ket of gullible fanat­ics but CNET has made a longer video about what apple does­nt have that they are wait­ing for has then most if not all the oth­er videos on the bend screens of smart phone com­pa­nies that do have them. The bias has become a joke at this point , like fox news call­ing them­selves news . Just put a spon­sored by apple on your logo already, so we are aware before sub­scrib­ing and expect­ing unbi­ased tech info.

Undoubt­ed­ly apple will get it right when­ev­er they do do it but by that time the indus­try will be mov­ing on to the next thing. Love the fact that Sam­sung does inno­v­a­tive things even if it fails on the 1st go around
