Apple iPhone Air and iPhone Fold or probably Apple iFold Pro Ultra?
Yayy!! More reason to sell the only kidney left
Foldables are done not to distinguish from apple. Foldables are produced coz they have a market and it makes sense as the next stage of evolution from the slab based ones
So in short, apple would not do anything on its own. It just waits for others to innovate and copy it. Yea, real innovation right there. And at least Samsung had the guts to play with a new form factor when apple was hiding somewhere in the bushes
I want things to go in the opposite direction. Give me the SideKick/Hiptop form factor. Love the swivel screen + physical keyboard. When touchscreen tech came out everyone perceived it as cool innovative tech. Everything had to be touchscreen. As the sheen has worn away, turns out people really want physical buttons. In cars people don’t want a giant iPad on their dash. They want knobs to control their volume and air.
We are a few years off before Apple comes around to foldables. They need to have iPAD orders to drop before assimilating it to another product. Similar to iPOD functionality in iPhones.
If you really read all comments… Say something to me 😁
I remember when all touch displays were plastic, I don’t want to return to that. I like having a well built solid metal frame with a glass screen. I like having a device that has as few moving parts as possible and lasts for 10 years or more so I can give it to my niece when I upgrade and she can still have plenty of use out of the device.
I want pixel fold but the Apple ecosystem has its hook into my wallet…
I think a foldable phone is stupid. I think focusing on the iOS is better.
The iphone mini is much better then a clamshell phone. the only reason for a clamshell would be so that you can fit it into smaller pockets. The iphone mini does just that.
It would be great to replace the iPhone max with a smaller foldable phone that would open into a larger one similar to the Google’s foldable (slightly wider and not narrow like Samsung). Nobody has a foldable phone with a stylus that can be stored in the phone yet and that’s what I’m waiting for. 🙂
I would buy a book style folding iPhone right away.
I love scepticism in this video
If apple made a foldable that was no thicker than an iPhone 14 pro max and folded out to an iPad mini I would buy that. Clamshell is pointless and apple doesn’t really do pointless. They also don’t like to cannibalize their product lines. That’s why iPad doesn’t run MacOS products. They want you to have an iPad and an iPhone and a MacBook. So will they make an iPhone/iPad hybrid. Maybe….probably not.
I doubt Apple would want their users to have an iPhone and iPad in the same frame , but who knows?
The only reason I am getting a folding phone is I prefer a dual screen phone. My phone is currently not working well, and I need something with the same experience. I am forced to choose a folding phone as there is no other option that fits what I need for, mostly work.
If they kill off the iPad mini and make a foldable phone that could unfold to an iPad Mini, I’d buy it. I don’t think Apple will do it though. They’d rather you buy 2 apple products.
The biggest problem for an iPhone version of the Galaxy and Pixel fold concept is that it will kill the iPad mini for certain. There’s no two ways about it. I think this is why Apple has made the move to put Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro on the iPad. They always need a differential factor to keep people invested in the iPad. But the trouble there is that it could detract from the Macbook. Why go to the expense of a Macbook when you can do major productivity on an iPad?
So, it makes sense that Apple will most likely create a iPhone Flip variant, which will replace the iPhone S. It’ll be more of a fashion statement than something more specification oriented, e.g. the cameras won’t be good as the iPhone standards, but just about good enough for the fashion conscious, brand loyal, less demanding user. I can see that a folding iPhone is a headache for the iOS programmers. Apple suffers a great deal because it does not manufacture. Samsung can do and achieve a lot more due to the fact that it manufactures its own devices. Whereas with Apple, they’d have to get prototypes made up from a manufacturer, and then get into integrating foldable functionality in iOS, which will no doubt result in glitches. It’ll be fun to see! I am envisioning fiasco like Apple Maps when it was first launched where its foldable iPhone is concerned.
I would validate Apple as being witty if it renamed all its cable Chargers “Apple Juice’. Or even iTalk instead of iPhone or something.
This? Its just being a basic company following basic trends.
Yeah in 10 years 🤪
AR/VR is going to replace EVERYTHING…phone, tablet, laptop, computer, TV.
It would be refreshing to have the option for a folding iPhone for those who are tired of the same design we’ve had since 2017. All they have to do is add the multitasking features from the iPad and there you have it.
apple should make a phone between the iPad mini 6 and iPhone pro max size with an edge to edge. vs a foldable. the durability of a fold is not great with fold, screens with peel and fall apart.
Im pretty sure the iphone 6 was the first folding phone so apple does have a folding phone but they discontinued it
willing to snag 1 if Apple makes it for about 1500 price points. The only reason I haven’t owned a folding phone so far is the Apple ecosystem (since 2007).
clearly an apple circle jerk channel, I think this is the first time iv actively decided to unsubscribe to a tech news channel…ever .
Iv got nothing against apple making money off of its simple overpriced products because they found their target market of gullible fanatics but CNET has made a longer video about what apple doesnt have that they are waiting for has then most if not all the other videos on the bend screens of smart phone companies that do have them. The bias has become a joke at this point , like fox news calling themselves news . Just put a sponsored by apple on your logo already, so we are aware before subscribing and expecting unbiased tech info.
Man F*** apple. All they do is copy what Google and android do.
Apple would charge people over 2500$ for a foldable 😂😂😂
Good points
apple gonna revolutionai]rily invent the folding phone in five years
I just want ar glasses that are self powered no more phone in my pockets. And a smart ring for payments and NFC .
Frankly Apple is today the least innovative company
No folding phone for me.
I don’t even want to know how much Apple will charge for a foldable phone.😬😳
Wouldn’t mind being able to put the phone in the front pocket without getting jabbed in the groin when sitting down.
This chick is really strange man . The way she moves her eyes it’s like she is smoking something
I would be happy to see a “horizontal rollable” screen like the Motorola’s vertical rollable phone in iPhone Mini size but with Pro model features, built with super strong and lightweight Titanium material. How many would that sell world wide??!
Undoubtedly apple will get it right whenever they do do it but by that time the industry will be moving on to the next thing. Love the fact that Samsung does innovative things even if it fails on the 1st go around
