This will be a good buy when it is refurbished or goes on sale. I bought the M2 air when it first came out with 512GB just to have it one week later the 14 pro at Best Buy buy became the same price. I still like my air and the M2 shreds, but it is what it is
Now I just need the M3 to support more than 1 external monitor and then I can finally replace my 15“ MBP from 2015. 😊❤
Not sure why cnet kept Ackerman around. He’s out of touch, repetitive, and incompetent. He lacks the technicals skills to do reviews — just so bad at his job
ugly marketing 🙁
Litterly just got the 13 inch M2 back in February 😑
it’s not rocket science for apple to design a laptop pc with a 15 inch screen… like they could have done this years ago… but decide not to just to suck up as much money as possible by adding these these things insanely slowly year by year…
Im just shocked how far apple steps 2 feet back and 1 foot forward each year O___O
Imagine if they had released 15-inch Air M1 instead of this M2-thing. I think I’d fall in love with just having those 16-inch MBP-style front speakers.
So, No fans?! One can say :
“Macbook Air without any Air”
watever i had i just feel happy with my macbook pro similar like macbook air 2023. comparison the weigh, if m3 i will be better. i wondering will be heat after long usage.
I think the biggest appeal is that Apple have finally released a larger screen laptop for a more accessible price. We don’t all need the power of the bigger laptops, so the money almost felt wasted
This is a nice addition, not a revolutionary one to the lineup. The macbook air is more than powerful enough for most people, and this 15 inch one looks like a good deal. Most 15 inch laptops with similar performance are much pricer.
Why wouldn’t they throw another usb‑c port on the right side (or at least give one on each side)?
It is so convenient.
Wow it looks a lot like my 2013 retina 15 lmao except way better in every measurable way.
i wish they made this yeraas ago. my 16 M2 MBP is heavier than my 15″ 2015MBP i just got rid of. I would love the bigger screen inaxchange to save a pound off my backpack
why do you talk so weird?
You were not ahead of your time
They were late!
Check MSI Modern Laptop and you will see
It’s good 👍
Still 256gb base storage planned obsolescence
I was hoping to hear the new 6 speakers sound in the new MBA 15
size of the screen and performance has always been a huge deterrent for me to even consider a macbook air, to me it was a “crappy computer for lesser professionals like journalists” I’m an engineer & all the things that people care about are secondary to performance for me. Now with the M2 chip and 15 inches, it might be a good “back up computer”
I still have my 2019 MacBook Pro 16 I should probably upgrade now but my computer works fine I only use it for online classes at home and shopping…Maybe should just to future proof…👀
Only 2 type c ports on ONE side?
That is a deal breaker.
What about base model? Same cheapo SSD with 1 chip?
Apple has really lost its innovative edge. Constantly releasing and re-releasing everything with just size variations or marginally-higher spec enhancements is an old formula. Quite a pity that Samsung, ASUS, Huawei and other big tech companies in Asia are not able to make their own operating system like Macintosh despite having so many IT professionals.
I’ll be keeping my M1 MacBook Pro for the foreseeable future. Not enough to warrant a switch.
Apple had no choice. People have not been buying 16” MacBook pros and needed a cheaper alternative.
Rather have a MacBook Pro or a Mac Mini
