“Who’s been a TRUE fan FOR A LONG TIME”🛩”
(ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴍʏ ɴᴀᴍᴇ ʙᴛᴡ)🛩❤
Building a cabin makes sense for the temperatures expected as well as for morale and security reasons. However, in the other seasons the contestants never see those kinds of temps. Unfortunately I think the cabin will just be a calorie sink for her.
2 weeks to built a cabin with a small saw and an axe? A lone woman? ha. 2 WEEKS, MAYBE. They launch in mid september. it’s still 50F degrees. It wont freeze for at least a month. They never last 11 weeks. they wont see Dec1 or 0f degrees. they wont see sub 20F more than a couple of weeks. It’ll thaw in the afternoons up to day 60. There’s zero need of a warming fire, cabin or sleeping bag. All you need is your 7 layers of clothing , debris between each layer, the reflective tyvek bivy and a winterized tent, made out of half of your reflective 12x12 tarp, some of the duct tape, some small saplings cut on site. a raise pole bed is need, and some debris-stuffings. That suffices until it freezes, and can all be done in half a day, easy work. Another half a day will see an external pole frame made, a 6″ thick layer of debris added to all sides and ends of the tent, Cover the debris with the 10x10 tarp that they give you and the 7x8ft unzipped XL size bivy. That will suffice down to 0F, with no need of a warming fire or sleeping bag. This saves you at least a week of shelter building and 2 weeks of firewood cutting, hauling and processing. It saves you that time and calories during your prime time to forage the most food, too.
Did they show a fishing reel and rod she made out of wood? What the heck?!?! That is crazy lol. Without a lathe and such mind you. She must have whittled it!
