Sounds like the HDD –> SSD transition of cars
Let’s gooooo TOYOTA🔥
toyota🥺
No mention of Toyota being able to manufacture at scale. Having the chemistry alone doesn’t make for a viable battery. It must be producible at scale and this is the challenge of mass producing any battery… Otherwise the cost will be astronomical…
Plug me in… Scotty!
Coming to a dealer near you in 2035, after Toyota gets bought out by BYD for pennies on the dollar😂
I have a solid state computer 👍🏿
Talk about the solid state computer.😊
The reason why they have so many patents for it is because they started researching solid state batteries back in the 90’s, way before Elon Musk had thought of Tesla and now it’s going to pay off massively. Hope Toyota makes them as reliable as their mainline cars.
Electric cars in their current state are a scam. Not better for the environment because the electricity used for them is usually made by burning coal, they contain batteries that are horrible for the environment and are guaranteed to need to be replaced (and are very expensive), and you need to charge them in the middle of a road trip. No thanks I’ll keep my gas burner.
They’ve been saying that same thing for years now. I don’t know why anybody would believe them.
Brian Cooley episode on this? 🙏🏼
won’t happen before next decade.
there is no viable small solid state batteries in market.

Tesla already has this in there cars Toyota is so sloooow
Awesome news
That’s why they own Panasonic.
