So it appears Tesla found a bug in their app after watching this video that accidentally counted all production and usage totals as DOUBLE their actual numbers.
Doesn’t affect my payback timeline calculations, but it does make more sense that I was seeing ~4000kWh of production in a month, not 8000 🤓
So you got double whammied! U bought the plaid for $120+ and now it’s worth half and could’ve saved 8% on the roof.
IMPOSSIBLE in Texas as even if you have 0 usage you still have to pay 💰 for “electricity delivery fees from ERCOT”
The upfront cost and membership fees make savings disappear. What I think should be happening is that developers should start building homes with these systems as part of the cost.
That mattress cover looked amazing until you realize you have to subscribe to a monthly fee to have the app do it’s thing. That’s terrible.
I think this is a biased review.
The design concept of these solar roof tiles is flawed. It lacks separation of concerns and suffers because of it.
idk why im watching this vid im poor asf but the way he explain is awesome
Did you pay for it outright? Or did you borrow the money? If you borrowed the money, did you factor interest?
It would be interesting to see all the variables. Being completely transparent.
PG&E not gonna like this
My home hovers around 400 also(with solar heat pumps). I keep a refrigerator and fan on. My water heater is 120v and on a timer so it’s not running all night unnecessarily
$5.75 monthly charge isnt too bad. Its $14.75 for me
Awesome!!!!
you dont have to do solar if your not broke af and actually get a real job have you tried mcdonalds its more your speed of work
Family using 200kw/day, its literally insane
VERY interesting video, BUT, I was getting frustrated with the constant interruptions from A LOT of commercials!
actually you are mistaken. from the prices you say, the solar system you installed will gets its cost in 10 years, actually it will get it’s cost in about 20. because don’t forget that you paid more than 90 k one time, which if you deposit in a bank account and take their interest every year you can get more than 5k which you can use in your electricity and add about 4 to 5 k. so after 20 years you now spent the 90 k on a period of 20 years.
Great video! I hope solar pannel roofs become more affordable and the norm one day. 🙂
Solar and batteries in not sustainable
It would have been interesting to see the numbers where I live where the sun doesn’t set in the summer
Something has to be said about batteries and electricity being wrapped around the house 24/7 electro magnetic field created by it and how that can effect our bodies
That’s good change your Roof if you don’t need it money Bags.😢
The big question i have is… why the fuck is it priced so high 100k? for solar setup. They clearly charge based on that model 10 year returns… It would be nice if the companies just charged a reasonable price if they truly cared about saving the environment not just buffering their share prices. I bet the equipment installed would probably only cost a few thousand at most.
