Don’t BUY the Galaxy Z Fold 5; here’s why!

ditched my s23u and went with the fold 5. no regrets ever. what a stu­pid review. you dont like folds just get the can­dy bar. and vice versa.

Yea u arent exact­ly doing a good job of try­ing to get me to not buy a fold over just an upgrade to my cur­rent phone seri­ous­ly id rather keep my Galaxy S9+ than buy an Ultra 23 or what­ev­er its called.
The fold is the rea­son for me want­i­ng a new phone mate as the one i have is per­fe­cr­ly fine, i want that larg­er dis­play and mul­ti­task­ing abil­i­ty the fold has which my cur­rent phone and the untra does­nt have.

Since I don’t care about the cam­era, nor the nar­row front screen 

I like the form fac­tor of the inner screen, com­pare to iPad mini

in addri­on it has Sam­sung DeX, that i would like to use it from time to time 

My aim to use it as a tablet

can any­one advise should I get it or no

How many folds until the dis­play damage?

The title struck me as clickbaitish…and it took less than 2 min­utes to con­firm that. When he was try­ing to make it seem like the Z Fold 5 is bad for watch­ing videos, he kept the device in por­trait ori­en­ta­tion, instead of turn­ing it to land­scape ori­en­ta­tion as you should when you want a video to look as large as pos­si­ble. How do small do YouTube videos look on the S23 Ultra when it’s held in por­trait orientation? 

I just trad­ed in my S22 Ultra, which is a great phone, for the Z Fold 5. The truth is that the Z Fold 5 is a game chang­er in com­par­i­son to any can­dy bar phone and worth the extra expense, as long as you’re care­ful with your phones. There’s no deny­ing that the inner screen is still far more frag­ile than a con­ven­tion­al glass screen. But, it is also spec­tac­u­lar. Basi­cal­ly, if you can’t be both­ered to treat your phones care­ful­ly, then save your mon­ey, because you will most like­ly end up break­ing it. 

I’ll make it as clear as I can…because if this inher­ent fragili­ty, I would only rec­om­mend it to peo­ple who are typ­i­cal­ly able to keep their phones look­ing new while cov­er­ing it with noth­ing more than a skin, a very thin case, or bet­ter yet, naked. Those of you who need to keep your phones in Otter cas­es in order to keep them look­ing good should prob­a­bly stay away. And those whose phones always end up look­ing like they were in a car acci­dent shoud­n’t even think about buy­ing a foldable.

Yeah obvi­ous­ly the nor­mal phone is bet­ter for more peo­ple but thats not the point of foldables

I can’t believe peo­ple are com­par­ing sin­gle screen with a dou­ble or even triple screen (if you split the inter­al screen in 2 ) tablet phone. It’s like com­par­ing apples and oranges.

well for social media i use 23 ultra but for call­ing im using ip 14 pm because of voice iso­la­tion.
plan­ning to buy fold 5 because nor­mal­ly out­side screen is enough for call­ing n msging and when you need big screen you can have that too so to me its per­fect­ly bal­anced phone

I have had my fold 5 since the day it released, it is my first fold­able phone, and I have to say, it is by far the BEST phone I have ever had. I’ve had every­thing from the top galaxy ultra­’s and newest iphones.
It is the most expen­sive phone I ever bought, but I don’t regret my pur­chase. And I will nev­er be going back to a nor­mal phone again. It’s fan­tas­tic for read­ing books, play­ing games, brows­ing the web, every­thing I do on it is leaps and bounds bet­ter on this fold­able than any oth­er reg­u­lar phone.
This fold­able phone has com­plete­ly changed my view, and I argue your point to say that I can com­fort­ably do much more on this fold­able than you can com­fort­ably do on the 23 ultra.
But every­one has dif­fer­ent views, and that’s what makes the world so awe­some.
If every­one thought the same way, it would be a bor­ing place indeed.
