Do these peo­ple not actu­al­ly know how elec­tri­cal resis­tiv­i­ty tomog­ra­phy (ERT) works or are they just assum­ing that the audi­ence does­n’t know any­thing. That is not how ERT works, and attempt­ing to use the ETCR 3000B Earth-rho Tester (2/3/4 wires) would take for­ev­er. It took me three days to do an ERT sur­vey in Iraq to locate escape tun­nels from a prison. The instru­ment I used was an old ABEM Ter­ram­e­ter SAS 300B, an actu­al, legit­i­mate geo­phys­i­cal resis­tiv­i­ty meter. It could put out enough cur­rent to pen­e­trate to hun­dreds of feet. The unit they used in this show prob­a­bly can’t pen­e­trate past 10 ft. I have pur­chased sim­i­lar units for fun test­ing at home and they cost ~$300. My ABEM SAS 300B costs about $10,000 and my ABEM Ter­ram­e­ter LS2 instru­ment which is a true 12 chan­nel ERT instru­ment costs about $70,000.
