Let’s be real here, no one like Inaki playing Luffy. Luffy should be played by a real Japanese actor and the movie should be about adult Luffy in his 30s so we don’t feel the voice difference from the Anime.

This was so wholesome and emotional. I’m actually looking forward to this live action adaption so much. The fact Oda gave his seal of approval just seals the deal even more.
I teared up when Oda put the straw hat on Godoy’s head. Literally the real life version of One Piece’s most iconic scene.

I know, everybody around Oda is all joyful, but imagine having found the possibility to expand your very own creatiion to new fields you yourself always dreamed of but never believed to be possible.
Rarely do creators get the chance to see such adaptations, and even rarer are their works as respected as his.
I really believe, Oda himself might have been more in tears than Iñaki.
He created one of the most sold pieces of literature worldwide. The Nr1 Hit Manga in Japan.
And I believe in the last couple of years Oda started to truly understand the scale of his impact.

I think this is something incredibly and truly special to witness if I’m being honest. It’s such a beautiful interaction that it’s hard not to get emotional watching it. This makes me so much more excited for this show and I am really looking forward to seeing this adaption play out on the screen. I have tried my best not to have high expectations but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t at this point.
