Here’s a look at the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 and the Apple Watch Series 9. The new Apple Watches look a lot like their predecessors, so there’s not much surprising on that front. But on the inside both are equipped with a new S9 SiP (System in Package) and a new ultra wideband chip. The Series 9 also offers a “double-tap” feature that lets you tap your index finger and thumb together to do things like answer a phone call.

Did she say she left her phone in the freezer or the fridge? LOL
Horrible short review from someone who doesn’t have a clue. Welcome to 2023.
The only reason I will ever switch back to iPhone would be this watch, I am in Love with this Watch Ultra series, it’s awesome
Is series 6 to 9, worth the jump?
Battery life is still underwhelming imo
Is the titanium a little darker than the ultra 1st gen ?
Not gonna lie, I don’t get why everyone expects major changes every year anymore. Technology has evolved to the point that an iPhone 11 functionally is the same as an iPhone 15. While yes there is subtle differences, but literally no average person upgrades their tech every year anymore because it just isn’t neccessary. What you can do with a new phone/watch today, you can do with a phone/watch 5 years ago.
I love tech like the next person and it’s why I follow the Verge. But I think we’re getting a little too caught in year-over-year upgrrades and how impactful they are from the previous years model. I don’t even think Apple is expecting people (the masses anyway) to upgrade every year so the Ultra 2 isn’t positioned to sell Ultra 1 users to upgrade but for SE or Series 6 or 7 or 8 to make the leap. Same with iPhone 15 being targeted to X through 13 rather than 14 users. Will people upgrade year over year? Of course, its America spend your money how you please. But this idea that we should be disappointed that the Ultra 2 or the iPhone 15 is a junk upgrade from the year previous just seems to be without perspective. Just my thoughts. Have an awesome day.
I hate the regular Apple Watch design but love the watch ultra’s design LOL
Love the new one!!
I truly miss Dieter’s reviews. The Verge is not the same
How boared can you be presenting a new product…
The beginning of carpal tunnel watch
Is she sleeping
I love yellow color but not yet have the money for the Ultra, wish they keep the yellow ocean and trail bands, iPhone 15 yellow is really light this time too and no yellow case at launch
Ultra should have came with a darker frame totally totally disappointed and like u said you can’t even tell the 1 and 2 apart that’s useless
The Verge died with Deeter, but i like this new presenter by far the most.
The Verge people are always negative! 🙄🥴
I miss Nilay and Deiter.
