this is very exciting
The show is way better when everyone is in the same room, great stuff!
It’s such a weird experience being on X because it’s like going to an office that’s dilapidated.
I’m so happy that Dex is having a moment 🔥 #DanTheDexpert
Intellectually I’ve known from the start podcasts have cuts, but seeing them visually in this episode with the wide shot having people move frame to frame is kinda bizarre, maybe hide the cuts by always shifting camera when a cut happens?
Threads will never take over for X until they have trending topics. That’s 90% of what most people use it for
Twit was a thing, X isn’t a thing and probably will never be. The word itself makes sense “You twit”.
The only reason I look at Twitter is because threads is not in the EU, and a lot of my friends and people I like to follow are inside the EU. I am just waiting for it to launch in the EU to finally that X app from my phone.
After this Dexperience, Nilay should go iPad (mini?) with LTE only and compare.
this is the first time i heard about jelly scroll on the fold
Tim Cook’s Halloween costume is obviously a giant apple. He is Tim Apple after all.
during first 3 minutes i was so confused by the Slack notifs. Thought it was me 😋
Sorry Alex but given that Apple has about 1.42 billion active iPhones, they likely will only offer about $12.32 for you to commit to Google on your phone.
—The concept of Twitter is like AT&T. You can break it apart or change its name, but it’ll be back…
Having a long runway is great if you are an albatross. See The Rescuers Down Under (1990)
Hey! Snapdragon had an event this week, lol. Seems like there’s a grudge here…
What if they just announce M3 iPads now with Finder replacing the Files app?! 😂
I LOVED my Windows Phone!! The only bad thing (pretty major, to be fair) was the lack of developer support, but I didn’t blame Microsoft for that
Kinda loving Nilay saying “Hollywoo stars and celebrities”. I see you!
26:00 Love David’s reaction! “At Home Depot????” 😂
i’m just here to see David‘s expression when he dumps on The Morning Show
The negative space between David and Nilay makes me very uncomfortable…
Wow
amazing episode, I can’t believe you guys have a such a good show but just 26 comments, so don’t mind me just contributing to your VOD engagement points
I knew I was right to have “Heidi klum as worm mentioned” on my vergecast bingo card
I used to love this podcast, now I can’t believe how boring it is.
Twitter 37:45
Twitter: “that everyone is going to talk about it, that the news will be driven by it, that the politicians are worried about it” was a thing because all the reporters were on it (and also obviously why its social relevance outsized its user base). Then someone who hates reporters bought it and drove them all away. So yeah duh.
I think if Windows wants any mobile ambitions beyond just being another Android OEM they have got to get Windows on Arm on par with X86. They’ve latched Android App compatibility to Windows and so that App gap is generally solved if a phone can operate Windows and Android Apps.
I wanted to know where on that scale is Truth Social and they just ignored it 😢
When I heard the start of the video I was really hoping Nilay was doing the Vergecast on the Dex. Here is hoping for that to happen in the next Vergecast! Bring the mechanical keyboard too!
Please have everyone in the office. You guys have great chemistry
Loving this episode with everyone together. Yay 🎉
As a Gboard on Samsung phone user, I hate it when my Work Account disables 3rd party keyboad and I’m stuck with Samsung Keyboard. So with Good Lock, I installed Keys Cafe (oh the names) and made the Samsung Keyboard layout as close to GBoard as possible and my typo reduced significantly.
At the end they got tired of camera switching ?
Fantastic episode with everyone there! You guys help me get through the workday!
all laughs and nostalgia while being informed w/ the latest tech news. Love your show and team, keep it up^
