We’ve finally finished testing, scoring, and reviewing Apple’s new gear for the fall. On this episode we talk through our reviews of the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro, the Apple Watch 10, and the AirPods 4, to see whether they’re real upgrades and whether they’re worth your money. And then, on the Vergecast Hotline, we make the case for the Pixel in 2024.

Is David’s jawline becoming the protagonist of the vergecast?
Finally! A video from a good source. Also, the icons are indeed atrocious
Wow this is why I love the Verge… I preorder the iPhone 16 pro max and ultra 2 satin black.. after seeing the reviews online I’m having buyers remorse 🤦🏽♂️ so I just literally cancel my iPhone 16 pro max order. Honestly, I feel good about waiting on the iPhone 17 next year. I like the Satin Black Apple Watch and I don’t feel bad buying that device.
Thanks Verge for honestly reviews.. 📱😎🔥🥶
All those reviews AND we get a Vergecast? Joy.
Good call on the 27in monitor. 32 inch is too big unless you’re gaming
The only thing about your home background that ever bugged me was the coffee cups. Because they did not appear to be in a location that were easily accessible. It just always bugged me. So thank you for changing that. Now there is no mystery.
These reviews of the iPhone 16 are so freaking boring.
If you have to look from side to side to see everything in a 32″ monitor (which I use), then you are sitting too close.
Man, that last discussion made me cancel my 16 pro max order..am really perplexed between z fold 6 n 16 pro max upgrading frm my 15 pro max
Thank You All for keeping me updated on all.💯✌️
Da faq?, YouTube is a video platform, video pls.😅
Yeah, nobody seems to be enthusiastic about these new iPhones! There’s no excitement, like people are turned off of apple now.
I keep watching reviews and it disappoints me how many are done only from the perspective of a yearly upgrader. I really feel like that is becoming less and less of a norm and more and more “discouraged” by phone makers. If you just bought a phone last year, the idea is that you’re fine. I’m upgrading because I’m rocking a 14 Pro Max. My partner is upgrading from her 12. And, while I understand those who are upset that the stuff Apple advertised being here isn’t here, I am much less upset as it means I’ll get feature drops. It’s not like this phone is inoperable. It’s still a good phone. And when all the features do come out, I won’t be left behind.
David, you’re staring directly into my soul
Is the audio out of sync?
long intro about monitor and webcam.. and then the whole video is just audio podcast 😒🤷🏻♂️
I can’t decide if the battery health on my 15 Pro is real or not because after a full year it’s still 100%!!! I have been making use of the charge to 80% limit which is good enough to get me though a day

Certain participants could stand to say “like” less often. One in particular.
You collectively jest, BUT Mr @TLDtoday Johnathan Morrison is probably recording a suite of video evaluating and highlighting 0:29:10 now. [Sends this episode to him now 📬]
Tone can get cut on the 15 Pro as well. Your iPhone 16 Pro review had me create a style with less tone and this is nice! I’ve never touched this feature before
I have a 128GB iPhone 13 Pro and considering trading it in for 16 Pro…your opinions???
0:15 That’s what she said 😏
Just audio? 😢
How can I be sure these audio episodes aren’t AI generated?
The only reason to get a 16 Pro is JPEG XL.
You are far from simple Mr. productivity app man
