Learn how to make comics from Marvel Artists —
Alitha E Martinez walks you through the process of bringing characters to life on the page. She emphasizes the importance of understanding the character’s baseline countenance and researching their visual and emotional attributes. She also demonstrates the foundational “math” of the face, illustrating how to construct and alter facial features to convey a range of emotions accurately. By practicing these basic structures and expressions, a comic artist can ensure their characters display consistent and believable emotions. Her method includes observing real-life expressions and applying anatomical knowledge to create dynamic and expressive comic book characters.

MARVEL SAUCE
This video was really neat showing me how to divide a head into 1/3 proportions. My art skills are professional and I would like to try and get employed by marvel entertainment to draw comics. My pencil skills are professional. I know how to ink comics and have taken a university class on inking comics. Right now I’m animating, drawing a comic book, painting pictures for an animated movie short, and I draw 2 to 5 hours every day. My skills are because of two different art degrees that I have. Go Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks and Golden West College Lancers.
I love this 😂 she explains it quick and cleanly. I like her energy and commentary. Unexpected but appreciated. Thanks, Marvel.

it’s good to know that they’re female comic artists. I may get the course one day. I have been thinking about it.
