Hi net­flix, just want­ed to tell you I hate your user inter­faces so much. It makes it so hard to explore the selec­tion our­selves because you don’t allow us to tune the home page to suite us. For exam­ple, those hor­ri­ble games. You have an entire sec­tion of them in the app and yet you still put a huge ban­ner in the main feed. Wtf?! I rou­tine­ly get so fed-up with the inter­face I can­cel my sub­scrip­tion and wait for cool new stuff to build up and binge it and then can­cel again. I would just keep the sub­scrip­tion if you had a bet­ter inter­face. No idea how such a huge com­pa­ny can do such an incred­i­bly bad job at such a fun­da­men­tal ele­ment of the expe­ri­ence. Don’t yiun­have hun­dreds of super-smart peo­ple work­ing there? Then, wtf? Why the sug­ges­tions rows based on a show I watched 10 sec­onds of and dis­liked? Just give us some damn con­trol! Stop try­ing to do it all for us, that shit is so annoy­ing. Just make good shows and go back to the way the ini­tial web­site was orga­nized when this was a dvd ser­vice. It was a love­ly expe­ri­ence then but has been bad for many years and it only keeps get­ting worse some­how. My best guess of why this is hap­pen­ing is the gen­er­al enshit­ti­fi­ca­tion game the­o­ry process hap­pen­ing everywhere.
